Steve Walsh!

After our praising for Brady, he's only gone and been called up for England School Boys.

I saw that on his twitter yesterday. God knows how far he can go i've not saw a young lad technically as good as him. He'll have clubs sniffing round him soon.

Didn't there used to be a bit more saturday football, at least in terms of city based 'park' level sides? I'm sure i remember the old Mutual and City leagues used to have loads of divisions back in the day. Did starting a team with a bunch of mates (of 'modest' ability shall we say) become more of a sunday only thing?

Just seen that he is involved with Barrow on Saturdays. Went school with him and was wondering if he's any good or not these days.

Is he about 22 blonde gays hair?

Rushden & Diamonds 0 - 2 St Andrews.

Think my old work mate plays for the Andrews.

Yes mate. Quality Player. Great lad as well.

I think I remember you mentioning him the Sunday league thread when we played for Fairfield together. Yes very good lad, not such a good drinker though.

I'm sure Steve_Walsh5 will be able to elaborate but St Andrews are now in the quarters of the FA Vase and play at home in two weeks when leicester aren't playing.

Hopefully this will get a few more people down there to support them!

Yes they are playing Newcastle Benfield in the quarter finals of the Fa Vase on March 8th.

Absolutely fantastic win yesterday away at the favourites down in Brighton. Drawing 1-1 our keeper saved a penalty then our left back won it with an absolute screamer. Only two games away from Wembley now which for a club at our level is massive.

Get yourself down Canal street on March 8th, clubhouse will have a game on sky, there's a decent stand, the beer is cheap and they serve hot food.

Hopefully we've not got a Saturday game else i'll deffo be there. Great for a Local Leicester side to get far in any national competition and more importantly they'll get a nice little cash windfall so fair play. That said, I watched them against Quorn in pre season and I thought they were very good.
