Do you have to be a Christian to be good? I follow no religion so therefore have no guidelines to adhere to. I also don't care whether we love men or women and try to show compassion  as well as what I regard just as important empathy. That should come natually and not need a promise of entry through the Pearly Gates as a reason to be a decent person as you can. You are a long time dead.
