65RosesFox Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 I like chris wood I know he hasn't been at it for a while but I think we should give him some more games and the same with waghorn he's shown he can get goals at this level with Wigan we should give him another loan next season and see how he does then but it is hard for any striker to get in our team at the minuiteBut next season it looks more or less a full gone conclusion that we won't be in this league therefore we need Premier League quality strikers.I think Vardy will feature a lot next season with a new signing partnering him, and Nugent will be more of an impact player off the bench. Wood might remain in the squad but Waghorn will sign for a new club and remain in the Championship, his time at. Leicester was up a while ago. As for Wood getting more game time, like you said in your last sentence, it's difficult and would be harsh to drop either striker. But if anything, based on recent performances he should start before Nugent regardless if Vardy is one booking away from a suspension. Also what's with the title of this topic....I didn't realise it was a certainty he is going to get suspended.
65RosesFox Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 There is a massive possibility we'll lose to Yeovil. Even contemplating not playing Vardy is madness. What!?!!?! Where and how have you come to the conclusion it's a massive possibility...? We've took 13 out of possible 15 from our last 5 home games, they have taken 2 from fifteen from their last 5 away games. They've only won 3 away all season and we've lost one at home. I don't know if this was a typo, you're trolling us or you are that pessimistic. Yes are unbeaten run has to come to an end at some point but I really can't see it being on Tuesday. It should be a banker home win on any accumulator, but if you think it's a 'massive possibility' 19/2 on Yeovil is fantastic odds!

Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 People still going on about waghorn. Give me strength!
Buzzell Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Perhaps rest Vardy or Nugent and give Wood's a run against Yeovil. Be good to see Dyer back in the team too.
kingcarr21 Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 would he, how is that possible. you cannot be "league" tied? He wont play against his parent club mate.
kingcarr21 Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Same team for me. This could be a game where vardy has a field day and scores a few. If we get a good lead then Vardy will not need to commit himself too much into challenges to get booked. Vitally important to get the win cause we really dont want to go into the game against Burnley 2 points ahead. This would give Burnley massive boost against us. If Vardy gets booked its not the end of the world cross that bridge if/when it happens. If Vardy gets on the scoresheet against yeovil he will go into the Burnley game full of confidence. Wouldnt surprise me if we get the lead at halftime Pearson will bring Vardy off to rest him and avoid yellow card.
Alexikokopops Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 He only needs to get past the Wigan game, then further yellows don't count. It's until the second Sunday in April, which means he needs to get past Wednesday and Brighton too.
