Soup Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 Not just the quantity, but the quality for the Charlton game. Top support by about 100 of us. Will you be at the QPR game mate? Yep Steve I'm up there for good now. Will say hello.
Dan Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 Overcrowding? Is this a wind up or what? If you think SK1 is overcrowded you're very inexperienced football fans. You asked for feedback... In terms of not being able to go where you want, lots of lads have season tickets but freely move around anywhere from L block right round to the west stand. Its simple just walk round the concourse go where you want and stand at the back. Against Yeovil I couldn't be arsed with atmos so sat behind the goal, there only seemed to be the usual few singers in the back few rows. The players can't hear you, L/K blocks can't hear you and the away fans certainly can't, so what's the point? Why not just join the blocks that already sing through the match? No offence intended but these groups come and go all the time, I give you 6 months at best. Worryingly the younger groups are becoming more and more left wing these days. I remember the BRF, inflatibles gangs, FRU, Halfpints which were all young lads starting something up. All right wing and all sang old school Leicester chants. Then we end up with the leftie Fosse Boys singing children's songs and waving their scarves about. I fear your group is closer to the Fosse Boys category. Why not just sing some of the great older songs we have? They tick all the boxes, unique to Leicester etc. I saw some of the lads from Zoonies were up in that corner, they'll teach you them. If you were to revive old songs at least you'd have some more appeal about you, L blocks song choice has become dangerously generic recently. Only one of you is a season ticket holder, says it all. Close your group now and save yourselves the embarrassment. Come and make an atmosphere in the already established areas where away fans can actually hear you. I don't even know where to start. Genuinely.
L1HT Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 Snooty Fox .......... 1) you say your in L1, why do 8 foxes boys/Union FS in SK1 bother you so much? 2) Why compare the likes of BRF, Halfpints etc to groups who are just interested in a sing song without trouble? 3) You say you are halfway up L1 - are you DP?
yorkie1999 Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 I don't even know where to start. Genuinely. I,ll tell you where to start. Tell him you go to Leicester to support Leicester and not be their to entertain the away fans with monkey dances and shit chants copied off you tube that no one in the ground apart from the away fans can hear.
1964FOX Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 Clearly a Tuesday night game was not going to attract as many as the Charlton game. The lads who organise this have done a terrific job and it looks really good for next season. Lets just do what we can for the rest of the season now and those of us who are there have a good go. As was shown on Tuesday night numbers do matter, the 10- 15 of us regulars did have a go but are limited to what we can achieve so please be patient and I'm sure it will grow. As regards the Celtic chant , it's o e lad who particularly lives it and as he's very loud it does get a bit of an airing. My preference is a mixture if old and new chants but you have to be careful any song is easy for people to pick up. With regards to the stewards they have been excellent and just bee people to keep out the aisles so please ensure you change your ticket to the section and don't just randomly turn up, this has clearly happened in the last two matches and could easily cause a problem which could be detrimental to progress. And please remember "we all live in a blue and white Kop"
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 I'll be back for the QPR game right in the middle of our section. As previously mentioned its pretty clear that a lot of people made a lot of effort to come to the Charlton game, that maybe we couldn't recreate every week. All we can do is get to as many games as possible, sing for 90 minutes like we did at Charlton, and hope it grows. Charlton was the first time for 5 years or so we've been anywhere apart from the back of J3, we couldn't ever get tickets together any closer to the away fans and apart from Watford play offs and maybe a couple of others, the atmosphere was always bang average, and a load of times when Leeds, Sheffield Weds and even Forest came they sung and we just stood there, it was embarrassing. I'd rather be at the other end of the ground with 50 lads singing and having a good time rather than 500 guys in L J and K either goading 200 Barnsley fans on standing there as 3000 Leeds fans take the piss.
cityfanlee23 Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 Yeah SK1 was a bit poor the other night, was that because you had 2 stewards on your back up there all night? I'll be looking into getting a season ticket up there next season. I loved the Charlton game and if it can be like that every game I'm coming back Not trying to slate your intentions, but isn't he point of this section is that we don't wait until it's good then jump on the band wagon... We are the bandwagon... Try to take this in the kindest way possible, but get your arse up there and make it happen... No excuses... If everyone in the group said "I'll wait till it picks up and then move over" we wouldn't get anywhere, We need shepherds not sheep. No offence intended

Numbers mate, pure and simple. We were not shit last night far from it.But if nobody comes over how can we make our presence heard. This is not a dig at you at all,but there's too many people thinking of coming over and not enough actually making the move. There's loads of room over there so it could work. The kop won't work with us all spread out along the back rows.Next season could be terrible if we don't get together.
