lestajigs Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 Fair play to Everton, doing really well this season hope they make the top 4, always liked them
bovril Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 They're a great club and they have a beautiful stadium, but their fans often come over as a bit bitter. And they booed Muzzy Izzet in 2000.....
Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 I hope to see them in the Champions League next season.

HEGGSY Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 I've got a soft spot for everton. Very well run club and I love Martinez, quality manager. It'll be great for them to get 4th.
Corky Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 We have only beaten them once in the Premier League, 11 draws in the 16 games between us. Need to improve that, but a trip to Goodison looks very daunting.
bovril Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Sorry kiddo nothing personal! Some of my best friends are Everton fans and they always seem a bit bitter about being in 'pool's shadow. Plus I'll never forgive the (small section) of supporters who booed Muzzy in 2000. Still, like I said, great club and I hope you can make it to fourth.
Fox92 Posted 9 April 2014 Posted 9 April 2014 Hope they make 4th. I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Everton, also. That said, I don't know many football fans who hate them. They are a nice, well run club with a decent manager who never moans and plays attractive football.
Langston Posted 9 April 2014 Posted 9 April 2014 I hope they snag fourth more for an admiration for Martinez and distaste for the usual suspects that make up the CL spots rather than a hard-on for Everton. Decent, likeable club but I don't get the massive infatuation.
Guest MattP Posted 10 April 2014 Posted 10 April 2014 Still think Arsenal will nick fourth looking at the run ins for both sides but Martinez has done a cracking job. Don't get the hatred for Everton fans, a few booed Muzzy but emotions with Turkey were very raw at the time, we gave Alpay some shocking stuff. Their fans have came across to me as more real and loyal than the fans from across the City, no coachloads turning up from Dublin and Sheffield there for a day trip. Goodison Park is a superb ground as well, one of the best away ends in the country.

But if you feel the need to dig at Liverpool in a thread about Everton then fair enough. Like you know and the Bluenoses know, Liverpool will always be the bigger club. Fair play to Everton, having their best ever Premier League season, see this is what can happen when you don't accept mediocrity like they did under Moyes. They need Kenwright to do the unthinkable and let Martinez invest in the squad. Martinez told the Everton board that he would get them Champions League football and he is on the verge of doing that. Quite worrying though that some blues out there would give up the chance of Champions League football so we couldn't win the League. Sums them lot up that.

Can only go on what I saw on trips to both grounds. I probably could have phrased it better but I haven't seen the "Front row Japanese photographers" yet on the blue ground of Merseyside like you do at Anfield. That will probably change though should they hit the top 4.

God, Leicester fans cant deal with people from Leicester now going to games because of the clubs success, God knows what people would be called if you travelled from a foreign land.. Oh wait them Anderlecht fans are really cool and brilliant because they come over aren't they?

Thought they were alright, don't see anything wrong with going to see an ex player if you want too, I stood on my own on front of the Angel City Brigade agaisnt Seattle as I was in the area as Keller was in goal, drunk as **** singing USA USA, must have looked bonkers. I do see that sort of fan turning up as slightly different to the front row premier league Ipad wankers.

If they are purchasing tickets by the correct means, unlike you say these people who come to watch games and pay a ridiculous amount for a ticket, well more fool them. When the Premier League is as commercial as it is and they continue to do that Premier League Asia trophy thing pre-season and what not then we are going to get fans from all over coming to the bigger clubs to watch games. It's them who are being ripped off.

It's them who are being ripped off. They are, but it affects all of us. When you have a high demand for something prices will increase. The more tourists, trippers etc that continue to pay, the more it costs the average fan in the street as well No point me moaning though, isn't going to change a thing.

I agree, I'm quite selfish though regarding this, I get my tickets through family members, always have done, so I have obviously only ever paid face value or nothing at all. If i was in the position of the average Liverpool fan (not from Liverpool ) then I would have pretty slim to no chance of getting a ticket unless I paid over the odds or could get on one of them 'Twitter Face Value' accounts. Things will never change in football.
Grandad. Posted 10 April 2014 Posted 10 April 2014 Sorry to hear that. I know, luckily for me I have the Scouse 'charm' with the Leicestershire accent.
