In the past, being promoted to the Premier League would result in actually knowing the names of players we were linked with. These days, I'm far more likely to have heard of a player signed from the same level or League One than I am the foreign names we are linked with now we are promoted. As I said...just a thought.

Fox92 Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 Same, really. Don't watch much European football other than Champions League matches so I only know the 'big names'. My knowledge of English football is far greater.
Stadt Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 FIFA and FM are great for learning about Foreign players, granted they're not very accurate with the potential of players but they do give you a bit of an insight.

I have heard names like Suarez and...well that the only one I can think of, but I can't have any kind of meaningful discussion about them as players or the latest scandal they have been involved in. What I do do though, (do do?) is go to every home game of my home town club, regardless of the fact I live the wrong side of Birmingham and midweek games are a complete pain in the bottom.
