And he really, really spunked away the funds for the premier league, the contracts some of them Cardiff players are on could potentially bankrupt the club if this Tan bloke leaves. Yes it's his money so his fault as well, but equally Mckays fault, and that scout he rightfully sacked for apparently giving out contracts without Tans blessing. When the owner and Manager have both done wrong, only one person will be in trouble. Cornelius, 45k a week for 5 years, over £10m fee seemingly with no intention of making him a first team player. You can't argue with that, that's well in excess of £20m for an unproven kid. He obviously didn't think he was good enough or he'd of given him a longer run in the team, so what were the scouts actually doing?

A managers job stretches further than just picking 11 players to go out and play, and in other aspects of his job Mckay clearly came up short. Not saying anything this nutter Tan does is right or wrong (seems mainly wrong, obviously, makes you glad our owners are how they are), but this rush of love for Mckay because he had the team in 16th place isn't looking at the bigger picture imo.

You don't know that it was the 'wrong decision.' Just because they were 16th when he got sacked, didn't mean they'd finish there at the end of the season. You can't know whether Mackay would have kept them up anyway. He would have had another transfer window to spunk away more money. He had a fortune to spend in the Championship, they limped out of a shit league. Tan is a twat but Mackay quite clearly isn't all he's cracked up to be either by the media and I think there was more to it than the money, if Tan was just a trigger happy owner then Solskaer would have gone by now so there was clearly more to it than one or two things. I'd be quite happy with Solskjaer if I was them, they'll play some great football, experimental football and he'll really put emphasis on younger players.

emmo1987 Posted 13 May 2014 Posted 13 May 2014 Ole is much to blame. He bought in unknowns from abroad who have failed too. That season Cardiff got promoted they were the best team bar one. Does tan not thank him for taking them up out of a hard league !

No because Pearson improved the squad, helped improve the finances and got us in a better position than Sven did. We progressed from Sven to Pearson. Cardiff regressed after Malky. Am I missing something here?
