Greatness_Since_1884 Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 I think a Right back, Centre mid, Winger and a striker will be added. I can see Jeff getting until January to stake his claim for Left back
Finn Claw II Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 In terms of the under 21 restrictions. This leads to a couple of interesting decisions. 1. Do we sell Logan and have Smith as a 3rd choice goalkeeper or do we not name Smith in the 25 and send him on loan 2. Do we sign Miquel? Like Schlupp and Smith he is just outside the cut-off so would need to be one of the 25. Given we already have Was, Wes and Upson (with Moore under 21) do we want one of our 25 to be a 5th or 6th choice CB (depending on whether we sign a further CB)

I was convinced we'd look to sign a new LB - but given that a back-up at RB for De Laet is a more urgent problem, I think that's where the hole will be filled. Seems as if Pearson is willing to take a punt on Schlupp as first-choice LB in the Prem. Good on him I say - his performances in the last third of the season merit it. But I do worry slightly about him coming up against top players...time will tell if I'm just being paranoid

As long as he can handle the good-average players, he'll be fine.
General Smuts Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Positionally Schlupp worries me as our best choice at Left Back luckily he has the pace to recover on a lot of occasions.
BrummieFOX Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 I think Schlupp finished the season very well and will play a lot of next season. I'd be looking for a RB, attacking centre midfielder and a striker. Then see where we're at in Jan.
