lgfualol Posted 3 June 2014 Posted 3 June 2014 Now that Liverpool have Lambert we should go for Suarez or another one of their 100 strikers
Rushden fox Posted 5 June 2014 Posted 5 June 2014 Vela has been linked with Arsenal, so unlikely to see him at the KP Why not we have to play the goners...I'm sure Morgan will let vela out of his pocket for air.
adamlcfcbevo85 Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Wouldn't say no to a proven top level goal scorer but wouldn't bother me much not buying one. Vardy is quality, if he continues to improve like he has, he'll rip the Premiership apart next season I rekon he'll bag around 13 goals. not taking the pi55 but 13 goals ????? Is that really ripping the prem apart lmfao haha
Fez of Mahrez Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 not taking the pi55 but 13 goals ????? Is that really ripping the prem apart lmfao haha Pretty much. https://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/football/premier-league/top-goalscorers.html
DanTheFox07 Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Lewis Grabban gone to Cardiff yet? He signed for norwich, if your thinking about us getting campbell this wouldn't make a difference as they have already bought 2 new striker's
Far Post Gerry Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Luuk de Jong anyone? I know he didn't pull up any trees for Newcastle, but who does? I'd have a gamble on van Wonfswinkel too; reckon Pearson could restore his confidence.

Happy Fox Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 If true about our 10m transfer budget I don't expect we will spend more than 5m on a striker. Which striker could we get for £5m that will score 12-15 goals?

Totals: £18m 50 games 1 goal. TOGETHER they'd be unstoppable.
m00nie Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 I personally reckon we have two good strikers. Just two. I don't think Wood or GTF will cut it at Prem level. For me, the issue will be the SUPPLY to the strikers. Apart from Mahrez I can't see where the creativity is gonna come from. Knocky and Albrighton are ok. But Mahrez looks a league above the pair. It's from the central midfield I'd be concerned. Drinky, King, James are all solid, dependable and good at thwarting opposition attacks. But are they capable of sliding through enough killer balls to unlock Prem defences. We ain't gonna be up against Barnsley and Leeds. Next season, we'll have to carve open Terry and Cahill for instance. I'd like to see another, really good striker and a player who can give him the ammo. didnt someone post some stats that he was one of the top players for assists and passes. agree with woof and gtf though, think another striker is vital and imagine pearson is on the case with all the alleged rumors.
