Narborough_fox Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 I've heard poorer shouts. One bad year in a shit, hoofball side doesn't make him a shit player. It's more his attitude problem for me. He stormed out after not being selected in the squad, I don't want anything like that around our squad, and I don't think Pearson would want that either.
MPH Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Email Heskey Pass to him when he's in box and the delivery will still fail. But he's strong. He's no junk male. Might miss a few games if he gets a virus though...
CRID99 Posted 31 May 2014 Posted 31 May 2014 Personally I believe that McCormack would be a great signing. We have enough money and if he can score so many at an ok team then surely he can score more at Leicester.
80footgiraffe Posted 31 May 2014 Posted 31 May 2014 Vincent Aboubakar Yeah I said him too, would be a class act
FOXES-BROWNBOY Posted 31 May 2014 Author Posted 31 May 2014 Shinji Okazaki Yeah I said him too, would be a class act 3rd top goal scorer in France, pretty good + get him for a decent price
FOXES-BROWNBOY Posted 31 May 2014 Author Posted 31 May 2014 Josip Drmic, 4th top goal scorer in bundesliga but relegated with Nurnberg
Happy Fox Posted 31 May 2014 Posted 31 May 2014 Josip Drmic, 4th top goal scorer in bundesliga but relegated with Nurnberg Joined Bayer Leverkusen.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 Troy Deeney as much as I've hated him previously would be my pick over McCormack and Ulloa if we're looking at bringing through a championship striker. He'd probably cost less and offers us a bit of muscle up front that we lack
Espa Posted 2 June 2014 Posted 2 June 2014 As I've said in another thread, we should definitely look into signing Ba, I've read somewhere that he could go for as little as 6m, he would be worth his wage demands and for a quality striker like himself it's definitely worth looking into him.
Espa Posted 2 June 2014 Posted 2 June 2014 We should also look into FC Kovenhavn's Cornelius, he never got a crack when playing for Cardiff and he seems like he's doing well back in Denmark so we should have a go at signing him, seems like a solid Target Man.

Yeah that was weird. They paid something like 8mil rising to 11mil, and NP said he'd gotten close to getting him for 500,000

He'd be on about 90 grand a week!!!!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
VLC86 Posted 2 June 2014 Posted 2 June 2014 What about taking a punt on Van Wolfswinkel on loan, give him another chance in the prem. And i was thinking about stabbing myself in the eyes repeatedly when i read this, 1 goal all season? No thanks
65RosesFox Posted 2 June 2014 Posted 2 June 2014 And i was thinking about stabbing myself in the eyes repeatedly when i read this, 1 goal all season? No thanks To be fair he's still young and it takes even some of the best a couple of seasons to get use to the Premier League. I think he will become a good top flight striker whether it be abroad or here. But a season in the Championship might do him good, to get his confidence back up. Prior to Norwich I liked the look of him, and if scoring a few, he would be worth a punt from a Premier League team in January. But at the minute we need a proven, experienced target man top.
Guest Col city fan Posted 3 June 2014 Posted 3 June 2014 I personally reckon we have two good strikers. Just two. I don't think Wood or GTF will cut it at Prem level. For me, the issue will be the SUPPLY to the strikers. Apart from Mahrez I can't see where the creativity is gonna come from. Knocky and Albrighton are ok. But Mahrez looks a league above the pair. It's from the central midfield I'd be concerned. Drinky, King, James are all solid, dependable and good at thwarting opposition attacks. But are they capable of sliding through enough killer balls to unlock Prem defences. We ain't gonna be up against Barnsley and Leeds. Next season, we'll have to carve open Terry and Cahill for instance. I'd like to see another, really good striker and a player who can give him the ammo.

I do feel Drinkwater can play telling balls though but we'll have to wait and see.
Blue Ed Posted 3 June 2014 Posted 3 June 2014 Wouldn't say no to a proven top level goal scorer but wouldn't bother me much not buying one. Vardy is quality, if he continues to improve like he has, he'll rip the Premiership apart next season I rekon he'll bag around 13 goals.
