QPR being ambitious........we're trying to get Fryatt!

Another 'you have absolutely no idea what will happen' post, but you'll say it anyway...

Was I wrong in saying we'd come above QPR?

You can stop pretending they aren't ridiculous now that your money's won.

I'm going to defend Redknapp and QPR here actually, Dan.

He's not as loathsome as Warnock.

Warnock's a **** but they were a more respectable side under him. That's undoubted for me.

It aint about Redknapp, QPR, Warnock or Clint fookin Hill.

It's about the fact that people are STILL writing off any team (in this case QPR) before the summer has even begun proper!

lol

Do people ever learn. I thought the fact that QPR got promotion when many had said they were doomed might have taught a lesson.

Twud appear not...

The irony as you defend a club who have absolutely gotten out of jail and they'll inevitably go down their usual route which faltered big time in the top flight last time.

How the bloody hell do you KNOW that? You simply don't. You hope that will happen, is what you mean.

Oh sorry my mistake. They'll win the league because their manager is world class and their new signings were all quality for Spurs four years ago.

Come on. Do you really think they're going to go down any other route bar signing has-beens? They've been at it for a long time and seeing as they got out of jail against Derby they'll maintain it, I'm sure of it.

Maybe they'll do and actually buy the right players in the process, but I really would love to know why people actually continue to defend that lot, especially when you saw a shite hybrid of it right in front of your eyes in 2011.

Simply because the last time NP went squad building he'd already spent 2-3m and signed Vardy, James and De Laet by the end of May.

But trust me, I'm perfectly calm. Just wondering, that's all. Still very optimistic.

Erm, no?

The last time NP went squad building, he signed bakayogo on a free in JULY, then Hammond at the end of August (undisclosed, <£1m) and then wasilewski and gtf on FREEs in SEPTEMBER.

Very convenient of you to leave out the most relevant transfer window in terms of 'building a squad' simply because it doesn't fit your point about early spending.

Think this is merely paper talk and journalists trying to put 2 and 2 together. Fryatt is leaving Hull most probably on loan but it will be to the championship. Sheff Weds and Forest interested I think.

I wouldn't be concerned about your recent transfer policy compared to ours! Every agent with an ageing player is going to get him linked with us. Don't forget because of your early promotion you have a three week start on us regarding targets.

Bit longer than that pal we got promoted on the 6th April.

Yeah, in reality, you knew what division you would be playing in next season weeks before that even.

If our budget (£10m) and wage structure (no more than 30k) are true, then that advantage will soon vanish if you start chucking around 100k again.

Yeh, let's not go in for the top goal scorer of a team that managed to stay up last season, terrible idea! Pearson out!

Let's spend 7 million on an unproven foreign striker instead!

10 million budget, are you sure? How much of that were you going to spend on the guy fromBrighton? Our only, allegedly, 100k player was sold back after six months. Can't see us going anywhere near that again with FFP.

Why would he leave on loan if he's out of contract?

To be honest I didn't know what his contract state was, just that he's been linked with us and is probably actually gonna end up in the championship at Forest or Sheff Weds
