demon_dog Posted 16 June 2014 Posted 16 June 2014 So many figures are bandied about regarding the ground capacity. The actual quoted figure is 32,312 or 32,262 depending on where you get the figures from! (Initially 32,500 before segregation and alterations taken into account) The question is does this mean actual seating capacity, in which case the figure is higher since the corporate boxes capacity needs to be taken into account. or Is it the actual capacity allowed by law due to ground safety, fire regs etc..
Raw Dykes Posted 16 June 2014 Posted 16 June 2014 I think the 32,500 figure is rounded up to the nearest 500. I'm pretty sure the highest ever attendance was a Tigers match because there was no segregation.
adamlcfcbevo85 Posted 17 June 2014 Posted 17 June 2014 Isn't there plans to build on the stadium I'm sure I heard we are having a extension soon or did I just dream that haha
docho66 Posted 17 June 2014 Posted 17 June 2014 I think the expansion plans were part of our World Cup 2018 stadium bid - which the FA/ bidding team rejected in favour of an MK Dons expansion, or some other less impressive ground. 45,000 was the number quoted, I think!!??
jammie82uk Posted 17 June 2014 Posted 17 June 2014 Both Ground capacity and Attendance figures includes corporate boxes There was 2 sell out games last season with the attendances being given as 31,319 for the man city cup game and 31,424 for the Doncaster match
demon_dog Posted 17 June 2014 Author Posted 17 June 2014 Both Ground capacity and Attendance figures includes corporate boxes There was 2 sell out games last season with the attendances being given as 31,319 for the man city cup game and 31,424 for the Doncaster match Therefore the Man City game was not a sell out if we had a higher attendance at the Donny game! Yet still around 800+ short of the official capacity . Do anyone actually have a maximum figure that is allowed? Be interesting to see what figures we get for our big games this coming season.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 17 June 2014 Posted 17 June 2014 Our long-standing record attendance was 32,148 at home to Newcastle in 2003-04. This was beaten by 40 when we played Real Madrid to set a record attendance of 32,188. I think the club can probably configure the ground to match or beat those figures if the need arises.
MattGamble92 Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 The Man City game had more segregation than Donny and Man City didnt sell out their away end leaving some empty seats. The home ends were completely sold out.
sylofox Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 Do they count plastic supporters too? No and they deduct 100 for every penalty scored as well.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 20 June 2014 Posted 20 June 2014 I think the 32,500 figure is rounded up to the nearest 500. I'm pretty sure the highest ever attendance was a Tigers match because there was no segregation. Yes. We drew the record crowd. Ironic, eh?
skmanuk Posted 20 June 2014 Posted 20 June 2014 Do they count plastic supporters too? Yawn, yawn, will you bigots ever stop, very boring
Trumpet Posted 20 June 2014 Posted 20 June 2014 Isn't there plans to build on the stadium I'm sure I heard we are having a extension soon or did I just dream that haha It wasn't a dream, they're also thinking of swapping the family stand with the Kop.
