Rangers have received a building warrant to install the Tifo Pulley System on the Copland Stand at Ibrox. The application, originally submitted in September 2024, was officially approved toward the end of last month.

Our club lied to UFS over a pulley at Filbert Way.

For the size of group/club/spot in the ground these do some great stuff. Fan led club will really help all that.

I went to a game at Motherwell last season.

What amused me ... when the players came out, those fans launched a load of giant "party popper" type things.   Not the little ones, but massive ones.   It totally covered the corner of the pitch, like 200 toilet rolls had been launched, a la 1970's.

Derek is a great guy, he’s run the Well Bois for years. When I joined Motherwell he was one of the first to get in touch because at the time they were still struggling with the “heavy hands, empty stands” approach by the police and the safety team at the club. I met with them all in their own pub which was the best thing someone in a FE role can do. We had decent dialogue but it was very hard to make any difference because of the old school mentality of the safety team. Everyone was labelled trouble. They’ve progressed so much which is brilliant.

Ironically the guy that was in charge of the football police there, then joined to head up the safety at the club. He left last month. He was an absolute fanny.

It’s a great club is Motherwell, in the shadows of green and blue but a club who knows who it is, which is very rare these days.

Do you think that scotland will eventually get pyro areas like you see abroad?  I keep hearing rumours aboout it and representatives have apparantly visted countries where they have these pyro areas.  It seems the authorities are at a loss in how to deal with it, everything they've tried has failed, in fact more pyro is used now then every before.  So I think they'll look for alternatives.

I don’t know mate tbh. I can’t see how you can with how it’s all set up here. There’s peoples health with breathing issues in the stadium, plus stadium H&S issues. You’re probably better leaving it and letting it slip than relaxing the rules completely in areas as a club.

They’ve only just started piloting alcohol back in stadiums up here so I think anything pyro based will be a long way off.

I once left my desk at a game at Motherwell and had a can of coke I was drinking from as I entered the pitchside area between the office and stand (in the corner) , I was ejected for having a controlled container 🤣

When I went to Denmark a few years ago to see how they all work it was amazing to see the fan / SLO / club relationships and with pyro, how some clubs actively encouraged (handed it out, let it off - at one club) it despite the league being quite strict on it.

I can see them relaxing the rules and turning a blind eye...which pretty much happens now, but the authorities are rightly concerned about who uses it and where, so it wouldnt surprise me if the laws are changed and its allowed, i can't see how it can carry on the way it is now.  Won't be for a while though, for the time being I think they'll still stick with the searches and then the usual blaming of each other.

What could change things is if theres a serious incident, that could lead to much stricter retaliation or lead to a complete change in law and regulation for safe areas.

No question that pyro in scotland isn't going anywhere, practically every week you see it, you feel somethings got to give.

A bit after the event but this is a link for the stockholm derby i went to in May.  Some good pyro and crowd footage amongst the talking and match footage.  Its another world.  Wish it could be like this here .

Just found out there wasn’t a SPFL delegate at the Motherwell game, therefore they knew fines would not happen as they couldn’t be reported.

Would BOIS know this?

I used to post a few videos on various english football forums, rarely got a positive reply, the usual 'prancing around  like clowns', 'some dont even watch the game' 'if anyone had a drum at our matches i'd leave' ,''weirdo's jumping and down all game' etc etc...So i stopped lol.  Its just not what most english fans want.

I see some of the scottish groups have had slaps on the wrist from the SPL for pyro and pitch invasions....Suspended for a year LOL.  The SPL also criticised the clubs for not doing more...lol..they haven't done anything for a decade they ain't starting now.
