Aww. It was sad that he had to lose his voice, and this is sadder still. As an outsider, there's just something that seems quintessentially British about the classified results, and I used to love hearing them at the end of the coverage when I first started listening to City games on the radio (via web).

Absolutely, that was great. You could tell the result from the way he would say the home team's score. He did make an away win sound a bit more special.
