Claridge Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Would anybody else of not picked these 2? Not sure what Pearson's up to at the moment, but he can't last a season with his bizarre team selections. Nugent and konchesky in a premiership side is just weird.

Nugent and konchesky in a premiership side is just weird. He was injured apparently but off is last few performances I wouldn't have started Ulloa no, I wanted to see Vardy given a go up front. If we're planning to go on without Mahrez though we'll create next to nothing for the foreseeable.
lgfualol Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Stubbornness. What he said regarding Mahrez and co is going to cause problems. He can't go throughout the season playing those that train hard but cant reach the levels needed for the Prem. He is like a school teacher. Play our best players.
stevelcfc Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Ulloa, I deffo wouldn't have picked, leaves you with little choice but to play Nugent. His role in the team, the way NP is setting them up, is to drop deep not to score goals. I don't get what everyone has against Konch, he's been steady and far better then jeff as a LB. I do think we need a consistent and settled team though.

Thing is though that hypothesis doesn't even make sense, if it did, knockaert would be cloned and starting every game.

Nugent has been awful this year and is unlikely to ever score in open play

Riyad obviously didn't fit the system that he thought gave us the best chance of winning, and we could have won that game if one or two things had gone our way. I think Riyad is a great player, but I'd rather Nigel left him out and we got an okay performance like we did today, than shoehorn him in and have us play like we did against Swansea.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Ulloa has been our best player, generally, since the start of the season.
