davieG Posted 18 November 2014 Posted 18 November 2014 http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/536801/Premier-League-investigation-TV-rights-Ofcom-Virgin-Media If they get their wish goodbye to 3pm kick offs and you'll need more than 2 subcriptions to guarantee seeing your team. If this happens and it seems like some time off I think you can expect even stronger attempts to close down illegal streams. They might just as well go the whole hog and screen them all with associated live streaming on a pay per view basis as I'd guess that will happen in the much longer term.
Beliall Posted 18 November 2014 Posted 18 November 2014 we need a dedicated premier league tv channel for subscription, to view online or on tv. every team, every game
ealingfox Posted 18 November 2014 Posted 18 November 2014 Or better yet just start playing the matches in a tv studio with canned applause (or canned laughter if Leicester are on) and pre-recorded loops of all the hooting and hollering. Get actors in to do docu-soap style scenes (thinking The Apprentice meets Made In Chelsea) of all the boardroom and off-pitch matters and we'll be laughing, everybody wins.
Manwell Pablo Posted 18 November 2014 Posted 18 November 2014 Ahhh, football. What the fck happened to you.

If they increase the number of live televised games something will have to give either more games will be moved or they will screen at 3pm
filbertway Posted 19 November 2014 Posted 19 November 2014 I think the Max they'd be able to manage is 6 games over a weekend. Friday, 2x Saturday, 2x Sunday and Monday. To be honest it doesn't bother me too much. I get my live football fix from Coalville. I can see why it would be a massive inconvenience to fans that go to a majority of games and would be affected though. I'm assuming Virgin can't match BT or Sky financially and this is why they want extra games. So if they haven't got that much financial clout, the Premier League probably won't be interested.
Itsthejoeker Posted 19 November 2014 Posted 19 November 2014 Wouldn't mind if the kick-off remained the same and you could just pick which game you want like the nfl on a sunday.
