It'd be pointless getting rid of Pearson

Tactics aren't right for the league

Players have proved they aren't good enough to play 442 in the top flight, they haven't proved they aren't good enough for the top flight itself.

Pack the midfield, become more difficult to beat, play on the counter more effectively and grind some results out & as the confidence returns to individuals then try to impose our game more

Yeah! Let's do this!

It was really effective in October and November!!!

Numbers in midfield = points

the players are good enough which was seen at the start of the season, its the manager whos not made the step up.

The Manager is good enough which was seen at the start of the season........Look at it however you want but it was never going to be easy and was always going to be a learning curve. Survival was what many wanted the first year and to build from there. My guess is as good as yours as whether we will finish 17th or higher and don't think changing the Manager this year will do anything positive for the team.

4-4-2 doesn't work, and it will never work with the personnel we have, our best hope is 4-5-1.

And when we sign Diego Costa, David Villa and Gabi, we can go 442.

I never said it worked for us but it's wrong to suggest a 442 will never work when it quite clearly does work for Man City, Atletico and Gladbach.

What I meant in my original post was 4-4-2 has never worked( this season) and won't with our personnel,I wasn't comparing to your Man city's of this world.

If we go with that formation again tomorrow, they will batter us.

All I have to say it would be pointless getting rid of Pearson is; one day he will go, Leicester City survived before he came and will, undoubtedly, do so after he is gone.

At what point do the owners pull the trigger, now, Jan 1st, at the end of the transfer window or simply wait until the end of the season when on current form it will all be too late?

The owners have to decide where the Club is going and I'm pretty certain relegation wasn't in their plan, so to my mind its sooner rather than later.

And they seem to think we'll be able to sign better in January.

When the fact is it will be even harder signing decent players in January with our current league position than it was in the summer.

Our best bet is loan signings, so should we go down we are not lumbered with the massive wages we are going to have to pay to get anyone decent to come here. That is taking into account we are prepared to break our wages cap!

I was thinking today about a new manager, and I don't want one. If one comes in saying nigel does get the boot will the new man in january want to bring his own new signings in? how many? how much? the new manager could chuck 50 million at it and then the new players have got to gel, have clauses in there contracts for premier standard players at least in case we go down silly release clauses etc.

loads of ifs and buts!!! Nigel deserves a full season if we do go down give him another year in the championship, he turned it round after that watford game getting us to where we are now it's a new league for him may come back a lot better next time, not many other managers who i can think of at that level who i would like in charge.

I think today proved we are not a million miles of, if we are to play 451 more often we will need a vardy type player that can finish watched the qpr highlights earlier and his one on one he hit straight at green was the same as man utd  were he placed it, need them to go in, konch good servant taking the pay cut but we need someone new there he gives me the horrors when he's playing it back to the keeper. could do with a midfielder who can play in the hole supporting the striker who will chip in with some goals to.

look where change got us last time when np left looked doom and gloom untill he came back, he has worked hard and deserves the year in the premier.
