phildw Posted 6 January 2015 Posted 6 January 2015 Did you mean 'short' corners in the heading or is that a typo?!
danlcfc4ever Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 We've been awful at corners for years! I'd still rather see them whipped into the box though.
David Hankey Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Short corners are a variation on the standard normal long corner and need to used just to keep the opposition on their toes. It is basic commonsense of footballing nous. There is absolutely no need to continually waste corners by arrowing a long ball in in the vain hope it might connect with a Leicester head. Vary the approach, most successful teams do.
Alexikokopops Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 That's some good Math, Alex. Your Man U ticket has arrived btw. THAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANKS.
lgfualol Posted 23 January 2015 Posted 23 January 2015 Couldnt find a more appropriate thread Espn says two Leicester goals this season have come from 120 corners. We're not even the worst in the league
Mike Oxlong Posted 23 January 2015 Posted 23 January 2015 I just assume that if we get a corner or a throw in that the opposition will have possession within 5 seconds.
biggs Posted 23 January 2015 Posted 23 January 2015 I just assume that if we get a corner or a throw in that the opposition will have possession within 5 seconds. As we are absolutely no threat at all from corners the normal route, we should be passing back to the halfway line and starting over. Might get more than 5 secs on the ball!!!
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 24 January 2015 Posted 24 January 2015 It's frustrating, for 2 or 3 seasons now we have been totally ineffective from corners, this could be one way for us to be scoring more goals. Time to have a rethink on the training ground because whatever they have been practicing for the last 2 years doesn't seem to be working.
FireFox Posted 11 April 2015 Posted 11 April 2015 Surely Huth's goal counts as a short corner? Well, it is at least not the regular never-gonna-make-it-past-the-first-man corner. Seems Albrighton encourages them.
