Was the interview in Zoo Weekly or similar?
cambridgefox Posted 30 January 2015 Posted 30 January 2015 Got to love a bit of Boris. Slightly off track but re insults and terroists. I remember a documentary years back ,set in Afghanistan, the army where on the roof of this large compound ,and where being shot at from an area they couldn't pinpoint. They got their translators over a public address system, shouting something like( translated for documentary)" Taliban,Taliban,Taliban ,you shoot like girls ,run away to your mums."The Taliban in their fit of rage started firing, they were pinpointed and the troops radioed air strikes .Game over.
Mike Oxlong Posted 30 January 2015 Author Posted 30 January 2015 I do hope that the height of our anti-terrorist operations isn't to brand them wanqas.
cambridgefox Posted 30 January 2015 Posted 30 January 2015 What a silly man on so many levels.Target number 1?
Guest MattP Posted 30 January 2015 Posted 30 January 2015 He's probably not a mile off being right here.
MooseBreath Posted 30 January 2015 Posted 30 January 2015 Had that been the Independent using more academically acceptable phrases such as "disaffected youths" to say exactly the same thing then it would have gone unnoticed. Perhaps a direct strike at the credibility of these people using language that is more likely to infiltrate their peer group is actually a rather clever idea.
MikeyT Posted 30 January 2015 Posted 30 January 2015 I love the fact that at the bottom of the article there is an image of a "sex related shop". Just in case no one knew what one looked like.
DennisNedry Posted 30 January 2015 Posted 30 January 2015 He has a point about a lot of these home grown terrorists simply being youths feeling disaffected and disillusioned with the country and their lives. I'm not sure where watching porn comes in to though, because I think you'll find the vast vast majority of young men watch it.
separator Posted 30 January 2015 Posted 30 January 2015 It'll be sad to see him go in 2016, he's been a good mayor imo. When I lived in London a few years ago I voted for red Ken at the time, dare I say as a life long labour supporter Boris has been the better mayor. Met him on a few occasions as well through work and comes across as he does on TV. Looking at the betting for the next election it seems that Tessa Jowell is now the favourite to take over.
