Confused..

Recommended Posts

There are loads of threads that cover the points I wanted to make and I cant be bothered to write on them all, but in general after yesterdays game and the comments, I AM CONFUSED.

1. Fantastic Fans... I was sat with 3 Manchester mates in the Sir Alex Ferguson stand, who continually took the pee, because you could hardly hear our fans and I agree with them, granted we sold out but as they correctly pointed out most teams do, I thought our vocal support was poor... sorry maybe it was where I sat or maybe I am going deaf, but that was my impression and that of Man Utd fans around me... so I am confused

2. Team selection..... That was just plainly wrong, I know it was a free game to try stuff but, just so weird.. another NP tactical master class (NOT)... Confused

3. 2nd Half... I understand we changed to a 5 in midfield but why oh why does our brand new striker play on the right hand side of a midfield 5!!!!!!!!!! it was just stupid. don't kid yourself that it was a 4-3-3 it definitely was not, and yes we did look more solid but our new striker playing wide right....Confused

4. Our central midfield again was hopeless, no pace, no power, too easily brushed aside, gave the ball away, why have we not looked to strengthen in an area where we obviously lack premier league experience and power.. Confused

As you can get I am confused by so many things at the minute, the one thing I am not is that Saturday is MASSIVE.... and I cant wait... we have to win or I will be more confused than ever.

in point 1.

who the **** are they to judge us. ok so they will argue it's difficult to get up for a game against us. but **** me I am saddened by how shit modern day atmospheres are.

old trafford yesterday was pathetic and that's down to them not us.

I've heard a lot of people say our fans were quiet yesterday. If that's true it's not surprising really, I knew of at least 15 people who somehow managed to get tickets in the away end who hardly ever go to away games.

2 of my good friends went yesterday 1 was a part time leicester fan the other is an armchair United fan.

Interesting. I'm confused how 4,000 people can make more noise than 73,000. Was that discussed?

I agree that the Man Utd fans are shite and for a crowd of over 75000 it was a pathetic atmosphere but there are a number of deluded people, its a forum so they are entitled to their opinion, who seem to think our support is the most amazing ever and Pearson is on the next step down from God whilst we must show faith in players who are quite clearly not of the standard required for the PL... hence my confused post.. and by the way its not just Man Utd fans it was me as well I thought we were quiet, I think I was the noisiest when we scored and did for a moment think I was in trouble until the f***wits realized that myself and my 3 mates are all 6ft 3 plus.. quite funny seeing them all realize that and sit back down....

It was hard to watch let alone get excited enough to get an atmosphere going.

It was a poor atmosphere, but good in patches, more than they deserved anyway.

Do you or your mates go regular?

I have sat in the stretford end many times and you can not hear the away fans. but you know they are going for it as you can see hands clapping or in the air. May even be a little like the kop can't hear L1.

Lets be honest we could have been the noisiest team there this season but like fvck would they tell you that.

We were not at our best by a long shot, but I cannot believe old Trafford holds what 80 thousand, and only about 50 sing in the opposite corner to the away fans sing, not that we could hear them, but could see them clapping.

So let's be honest Man U fans cannot slate our support, because when we went quiet, you could hear a pin drop in the ground.

Yup sounds like OT they are either up for it or not.

Can be the noisiest place going or lifeless hence Roy Keans prawn sandwich comment.

If they expect to win it is dead if they think they may lose it is noisey as fvck.

Hi being a LCFC fan I obviously don't go very often!!!!!!!!!!! my mates are Man Utd season ticket holders.. and I am an LCFC season ticket holder. my point is that people are saying how great we were and I just did not see it myself.. pearson is a god... our midfield is fine.. hence my confused post..
