davieG Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 Leicester is the unluckiest city in Britain, according to research from Ladbrokes Gaming. Analysis of gaming data from 2014 showed that the city has a win ratio that is 10% lower than the national average. Leicester just beat Sheffield, Portsmouth and Edinburgh to the unfortunate title while Glasgow, with a win ratio 15% higher than average, was identified as the UK's luckiest city. It is not even a question of quantity over quality either, with city residents no more or less likely to place a bet than any other place in Britain. Around 3% of Ladbrokes customers are from Leicester. A spokesman for the bookmakers said: "We were curious to find out how many people in the UK are 'lucky', as so many of our customers win on bets every day. "We hope people in Glasgow are celebrating their good fortune." Do you think Leicester is lucky or is the city's cursed? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below. Webbo Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 I'm guessing that's based on betting on the football.
Vacamion Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 Someone else in Glasgow must be utterly coining it in, because I am the opposite of lucky when I gamble (I try not to bet on City).
Captain... Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 I'm guessing that's based on betting on the football. Or rugby or cricket, we suck across the sporting spectrum at the moment.
