"Nicky Maynard won't come"

"Nicky Maynard will join us"

"I hate you, Nicky Maynard"

"Yakubu is lazy and greedy"

"My twitter news are better than yours"

"No, my twitter news are better than yours"

"Hayley Gallagher tweeted me personally, fools"

"Wayne Routledge is useless" (@bettsj2)

"There will be new signings"

"WE'RE DOOMED!"

"We need new stupid/slightly racist chants now - Yuki Abe does understand!" @LCFCL1K1

As you can tell, I am bored.

Please post other valuable transfer news below.

Thank you.

As you can tell, I am bored.

Not to worry and I don't expect you to believe me as I can't provide a source but my mate who has been to Sweden has also been bored and the last time he was we signed DANNS and so I think something will happen today as he twatered me earlier with no news.

Let's not close this thread.

Let's make it a banter site for the 'elite' posters - you know the ones, the ones who bother to spell and punctuate - this could be an area for those who possess basic skills to bathe in their superiority.

Just an idea.

Give the thread an intellectual sounding title that doesn't actually mean anything, that should keep it strictly to the clevers.

I propose 'Maynard's recalcitrant vernacular causes consternation among his contemporaries.'

By the way, my mum's mate's dog walker's husband's cousin has a friend who works or lives in (can't remember which, sorry) a mental institution who says we're definitely signing Napoleon Bonaparte from some French club and I don't know much about him, I might start a thread.

I would like to open by suggesting that above statement made by Borat's retard brother is in fact a contradiction in terms.

Firstly, if Maynard were to present with a recalcitrant attitude, this would be associated normally with those who have power or authority over his decision making. I would argue that none of the parties in this instance (football clubs) represent an 'authority' due to the individual having free-market efficacy over his movements.

Secondly to describe Maynards resistance of authority as vernacular, one might argue is also a contradiction in terms. Vernacular arguments are surely designed to make one's position clear or clearer to the widest possible audience. In this instance Maynard's seemingly non specific statements relating to his future market movements would in the assessment of many, struggle (at the very least) to be labelled as vernacular.

Lastly, if one is happy to describe 'Maynards contemporaries' as footballers, I see no sources or evidence in the above post to suggest footballers at the club he is contracted to at this time, or other footballers have been disrupted by any of his behaviours relating to this matter. I would further add that one may argue that 'football' as an entity is required as part of the modern game to be equipped to deal with all forms of skills transfer toward the end of periods of contracted employment on levels of economic and vocationally skilled labour exchanges, thus again negating references to Maynard's behaviour (or lack of it) contributing to any alleged consternation.

I have become rather fond of this thread and can see I have been able to invent a thread title that, somehow, has elicited a 606 and a Talking Balls style response from N.

A more appropriate thread title for the former would have been 'MAYNARD STARTS CHATTIN SHIT TO DA MANAGER AND CHAIRMAN AND PISSES OFF HIS TEAMMATES!!!!!!'

No, I say. I want discussions about the true implications of Maynard's behaviour on truly pedantic levels of analysis of his statements and behaviour, not Twitter rumours and taking Bristol Evening Post pieces at face value.

So I want this thread prole free and am prepared to treat said people with extreme prejudice.

I sense an annoying, facile and hilarious way to break a rule here.

Infantile chit chat with mods!

According to a person who's existance I am just making up this second, Sven fears a repeat of Ipswich away next season and is looking to sign Jesus Christ on the basis that if he can walk on water, he can play on ice.

Sign Jesus! (but no more than five million, as he's completely unproven at this level).

I'm unsure on this potential signing - with the right support around him he could perform miracles in this league, but the potential fee is too much to pay IMO.

For the money we would be paying we should look at signing Charlie Sheen - no-one scores like that man.

I reckon he'd get crucified.

Better we sign Judas, then at least the chant will be a positive thing.

Nicky Maynard

I don't understand how people know he's so good.

I've seen him play live perhaps a couple of times at our place and no more than once or twice on the telly.

I understand he scored a lot of goals a couple of seasons back and that he's spent quite a lot of time out injured

Do most people base their views on FM or get swept up by the hype of others?

He may be good but the fact that there are no Prem clubs sniffing around suggests he may be no more than a promising Championship striker

160 odd pages in the previous thread - Too many schoolkids with too much time on their hands or are we getting the new Messi?

Skinnydipper; the danger is that the true Maynard believers will start burning the heretics. Non believers will be punished. Then you'll get the Fryatt faithful retaliating with dodgy stats, and maybe the odd pipe bomb. Yakubu, of course, is the devil - and everyone knows the devil never tracked back.

But seriously, don't take it so seriously.

Probably the former.

Now the holidays are starting, expect this problem to get worse in the coming weeks.

I don't know enough to take it too seriously

I think it's because the last time I played a footie manager game was pre 1995 on the old Sega Mega Drive

I think we should sign that Peter Beardsley
