Micky Adams in?

He left when the club was in a terrible perdiciment, the La Manga thing. He did well when he was here and I don't know, he could make the team his again. There's bound to be a few players left from when he was here and he has youngsters to pick from now. I for one think maybe we should get him in before any other eams poach him. I sure as hell think he's better than Holloway, he's going to be forever brandished as the worst manager in this clubs history.

Get Micky in I say.

But there is no forwards with this team and Holloway.

You've hit the nail on the head there about 'no forwards'. Hayles and howard are most certanly backwards.

I've always had a soft spot for Micky, I would certainly have him back for a second time.

I'd go for Adams, easily. After all he took us through La Manga, administration and got us promoted on a shoe string budget. I agree get him back in.

I always wished he'd not resigned.

I'd not have taken him back in the Championship but this is different. I wouldn't mind at all. He'd be very good at this level, in fact.

And he'd be up for the job, unlike most half decent managers.

Try to tempt Ince, with our Micky as backup. Perfect. I really like this idea.

I never wanted him gone anyway...I love how certain people want him back now...Certain people who have slagged him off so much, and when he was here....What can you say? Football fans are fickle?

He's the best manager we've had in recent years, not only that he's gone through the worst time in recent years here and still been the best manager. I don't care if he prided his team on "old timers", "has beens", "re-building every year"...Can no-one see to get out the Championship you need experienced, but still decent old heads, young lads just can't cut it, look at West Brom for example, Oh well onto League 1 ...

To be fair if he bought in 20 clapped out knobbers next season when a midfield of Levi, King, Weso and Gradel seems fantastic for this division, it probably wouldn't be the best thing.

:) See, I told you it was a good idea. He's free, it's not like we have to compensate a club for him, he may have an effection for this club anyway, it'd be like Keegan all over again.

Eh? He got us promoted with a Premiership strength team.

Why? We already have a manager who is tactically inept and puts our club's fortunes in the hands of thirty-something journeymen. Mickeh would be more of the same.

I'm sure you all know my stance on it by now, I think Adams did a fantastic job here with all the mess he had to deal with. Sure he made mistakes but we actually won games and reached the premiership. I never wanted him to go but can understand why he did with 95% of the idiot fans who were'nt satisified calling for his head.

Adams was soon exposed when all his decent players left after relegation in 2004.

Stop clutching at straws people.

Yes he was exposed, to the extent of being forced to resign when we were in the top half of the championship  We haven't been in the top half of the championship since and now we aren't even in the bloody same league.

I have to say I think we could do worse than Mickey. The fans should have realised that we were not neccessarily going to go straight back up. At that time we needed stability more than anything and his exit was more costly than we ever thought at the time.

couldn't agree more...our relegation was about a group of players who, at the very best could compete ( note:..compete, NOT excel) at championship division 2, couple that with a manager who has delusions of adequaecy and you get what we have.

Mickey Adams would continue the trend...if we arn't out of Ch.1 at the first time of asking, we had better be ready to stay there for a very, very, very long time.

This club needs an overhaul, I am not pointing any fingers at MM at all, if he was to leave we would have NO club. What we need is a decent, solid honest manager who can motivate players, and I was absloutley ASTOUNDED not to hear that the imbecile Holloway wasn't dismissed from his job at 5.00pm.

Yes, but the other guy is right when he said a shoe string budget though.

I think probably only because Milan is in the USA. We should wait until he comes back and speaks to Ollli face to face in a meeting which i'm sure will inevitably be their last.
