Fox in a Box Posted 7 August 2009 Posted 7 August 2009 http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~1745543,00.html Leicester City have taken Sunderland striker Martyn Waghorn on loan until January 11. The 19-year-old has been at the Black Cats since the age of 8 and last season went on loan to Charlton where he impressed. City boss Nigel Pearson said: "He has trained with us and did very well. He was on loan at Charlton last year and is someone who comes in and will have a positive effect." Waghorn found his first-team chances few and far between at the Stadium of Light hence his successful loan spell at the Valley. his increase's City's striking options boosted by the fact that Matty Fryatt, who scored ther only goal of the game in the pre-season friendly last Sunday here against real Valladolid, is fit and available. Pearson added: "Matty is fine, there is not a problem and he will be available."
Hackneyisblue Posted 7 August 2009 Posted 7 August 2009 There are also rumours that Gordon Banks may be sold.
Munzie Posted 7 August 2009 Posted 7 August 2009 Whoever looks after the OS needs a flee in their ear during their next appraisal. Keep up!

Chromophobia Posted 7 August 2009 Posted 7 August 2009 Until January then. I guess what would be most pleasing would be if he bangs in a few goals for us, and Billy Kee bangs in a load for 'Stanley then Waghorn goes back to Sunderland and Kee comes back here and carries on banging them in for us. Unlikely, but would be nice.
DanTheFox07 Posted 7 August 2009 Posted 7 August 2009 Can`t believe weve waited all summer to sign a kid, should have just kept kee imo.
Finchy Posted 7 August 2009 Posted 7 August 2009 FFS I wish people would wait until they'd at least seen players play before making any sort of judgement.
Bluefoxtim Posted 7 August 2009 Posted 7 August 2009 Can`t believe weve waited all summer to sign a kid, should have just kept kee imo. Do you really think Kee had the ability to unlock defences though?
Koke Posted 7 August 2009 Posted 7 August 2009 Waghorn - If he scores tomorrow I can imagine the terrible puns used by the OS and Mercury.
Brainy Posted 7 August 2009 Posted 7 August 2009 He was on loan to a shit team so we shouldn't expect too much.
lildave3 Posted 7 August 2009 Posted 7 August 2009 He was on loan to a shit team so we shouldn't expect too much. OOOOH you went there.
Unit Posted 7 August 2009 Posted 7 August 2009 Waghorn - If he scores tomorrow I can imagine the terrible puns used by the OS and Mercury. City have the horn Wag's celebrate the horn etc etc
Brenfox Posted 8 August 2009 Posted 8 August 2009 OO OO Wagga Wagga Wagga OO to the tune of walk the dinosaur. Lets make it so.
Guest shearfox Posted 8 August 2009 Posted 8 August 2009 I think it would be worth using the Mattock money to try to sign this guy on a perm deal, but i don't think Sunderland are looking to sell so they wouldn't accept any offer unless it is completely stupid like 8 mill or something
