I think he deserves the next 3 matches (2 if he loses Chelsea and Brentford) but needs to take 4 points min to keep us going at a point a game. A run rate that will be enough for safety in my opinion over 38 games. To achieve this they need to put in some 90 minute performances and the tactics need to be better. Brentford and West Ham very winnable matches. Chelsea less so but you never know. Enzo might have a brain fart and we can exploit them on the break. Has Cooper got it in him, yes if he is open to a tactical change and abandons this idea of James Justin attacking without any cover. If he can't see the current way is leaving us wide open then he deserves to lose his job.

Think a lot more hurtful things could shout than "sort it out." "Megson for Bolton" one of my faves the day before he quit and joined them.

Need to scrap 4 at the back for the time being in my opinion as we are too open and the full backs just aren't good enough defensively. I think 3 at the back utilises Vestergaard the best also. Got to stop leaking goals like a dripping tap as first priority. -

2-1 us with 27% possession. -
I think it is easy to fall in to the trap of of thinking we are back 2 years ago with a reputation to lose and we are massively under performing. This squad still managed to lose 11 times last season at Championship level. We are back in the big time, but with no real expectation other than to survive. The other two promoted teams showing how hard it is. Cooper as weak as he is so far has at least kept us above 3 other teams. Until that changes he ain't going. Just get on and deal with it.
-
No thanks, we were worse than Cooper in the league under Ranieri season 2.
-
The only way Cooper turns fans around is to beat Chelsea and Enzo and I just don't see that happening. He certainly needs to rip up the flat back 4 and make us harder to break down. The full backs are junk and Ricardo injured.
-
I think the bigger picture is time for King Power to move on.
-
Moyes would have been the man in the summer but he probably quite rightly wanted a break after Wet Spam and was working in media for Euro coverage. Now would be a good time. Ultimately Cooper isn't up to it it seems after 11 games. But I think the players were so ingrained in Enzo ball they just seem to be in a malaise at the min and confused. I think this was going to be the case whoever stepped in straight after. Enzo a tough act to follow.
-
Supported him so far but that today was totally unacceptable.
-
It's getting the basics wrong constantly and not learning is just discipline from the players. The manager obviously not stamping this out.

Steady on, Lee Marshall and Junior Lewis did used to play for us.

Can't be any more wide open than the cup match there. At least 3 CB in the middle to deal with balls in. -

I think 3-5-2 as previously suggested on here may be a good shout. Probably become 5-3-2 for long periods but we are playing a side only 2 points ahead of us. On paper an easier game than Forest where many expected it a winnable match. I like the idea of 2 strikers (Vardy and Ayew) as Ayew can hold the ball up and keep it up the other end for a bit so ball not instantly coming back. Linked up well with Vards at Ipswich. Like to think we may have learnt a few lessons from our cup match the other day. It would help to start not having both full backs abandoning the defence at the same time. -
38 points will do it in my opinion. Don't think Southampton and Ipswich will get 30 to be honest.

Think we have more chance playing them before new manager bounce. Need to be much more disciplined defensively than the other night. -
Can someone explain where this pot of money is to pay off Cooper and his staff and then potentially have to go and pay off another club's staff and coaches to get them here? Even if we got an out of work manager it still feels to me like scuppering our Jan transfer kitty and potentially having to sell a better player to balance the books to meet the financial regulations.
-
Let's be frank the players on the whole are barely good enough regardless who the manager is. There is more hunger and fight in the squad than 2 years ago at least. A point a game looks like it will be enough for safety and I think Cooper can steer us there. He hasn't lost to any of the teams down the bottom yet which is important. We really need to beat Wolves and West Ham at home in December now though.

Ipswich away 2nd November Match Thread

Sounded on Radio like it was coming. Ball just coming back at us. -
Need to focus on the positives here. We are capable at times and we are playing a side nervous to get a first win. They will attack for sure and we need to exploit the space they may leave on the break winning it high up the pitch. Don't want to see our full backs galavanting at all and none of this inverted crap either. Just do your job and help the two CB out. Would play Ayew central behind Vardy to hold the ball up and win the ball back high with Facundo and Mavididi to the side of him. Okoli and Justin need a rest so Vesty and VK to return if fit. We need to realise that a win gets us amongst the pack heading for midtable and 12 points from 10 games is decent ratio if we can carry that on in the next 10 games. Best scenario this weekend is that the 3 in the drop zone all lose and we leave them stranded. We are going to have to put a shift in to keep our side of the bargain. I hope not to see the ever obliging thread orange again!

I think he had a good game tonight. Looked effective driving forward with the ball. Unlucky not to score.
