We lost 2-1 away to a team who will be challenging top half. We were very much in the game for the duration. Under Dean Smith we went there and got smashed 5-0. Remember we only have to be better than 3 others and from early showings Everton and Southampton aren't in great nick and I think Ipswich have a very tough task on their hands like us. I think we will be able to judge better after the window closes and Cooper has had 2 weeks during the break after Villa to bed everybody in better.

I hope that as fans we are not going to do a 180 in support of the manager depending on the result. Good result 1 match we are happy, a loss and we want the manager gone. Yes we need to get a couple more attacking players in which I believe we will do. Please get behind the man in charge. We need to repeat the atmosphere of Monday against Villa and get behind the lads.

Maybe we could raid our parent club next week....

We are going to have to start shopping in the Championship and EPL loans for U21 players and taking a gamble on players who could make the step up. If we are relegated they are back to where they started. If they do well we can sell for a profit should we go back down or they return to parent club. The European market just doesn't seem to be working. Still need 3 more in at least.

I think this is where we usually go wrong. Wont get 20m, that is overpriced. Just cut our losses, it was a bad deal. But get something before he walks on a free.

We had the little matter of the manager and staff being poached and then having to recruit a new manager and staff in time for preseason. We have made 4 signings. I expect there will be 2-3 more by deadline day.

Sounds like a new 10 is absolute priority to be signed this week to link up midfield and attack.
