  1. it isnt, it was clear he broke the rules. He represented the BBC as one of their flagship highest paid presenters. he was warned by his boss
  2. he's a virtue signalling hypocrite. He advocates and promotes open borders which costs working people in this Country in lots of ways, all whilst using various ways to avoid tax (legally mind), all whilst being extremely highly paid (overpaid) for a channel uk taxpayers are forced to pay for should they wish to watch tv, a channel which is supposed to be politically neutral, but lineker felt he was above that and would often air his woke left views despite being told not to. He's fine to have his opinion although i don't agree with it, i just resent having to pay his wages, i would see if jeff stelling wants it, although BBC wont do that, it'll be a DEI appointment
  3. what i dont understand is why he doesn't use more of his bench, get 4 players on at 60 if we're 2 nil down. could have gone stephy, kacey, bilal and skipp. facundo seems to burn out second half, and why is winks taking the set pieces, hes garbage
  4. i think for some of us, we grew up watching the City, with hopes such as getting in the play-offs, winning a cup game against a top 6 club, then we had MON but it always felt our success was very fragile, and so it was. In recent years we have lived the dream, but our fall was so hard, i'd imagaine a fair few of us have fan fatigue and right now theres very little on the pitch, on the sidelines or in the squad to get excited about, especially when you've goto to pay £50+ to watch it
  5. exactly, he was ordinary, with very ordinary players around him. We have a very ordinary squad of players and it will take an extraordinary coach to use them to get results, unfortunately we dont have one
  6. It’s quite retro late 80’s early 90’s, sure that’s not their intention though 😂😂
  7. nah, there's something else. Enzo wanted to go, we held out for £10m compo, we weren't getting much more, I can't see them gifting us £30m, and I can't see Golding was anything to do with it, he was a top prospect with them
  8. it is a mystery why they bought him.
  9. many didn't but i really rated him and thought for what they wanted for him he was worth a punt. I'd rather Yunus than BDCR
  10. the key to getting something out of these games is to utilise the bench, we just don't do that, it's something other managers do very well
  11. First 60 Mads Riccy Faes Vestegaard Okoli VK Winks Facundo Soumare Ayew Vardy Then at 60 to the finish....... Mads Riccy Faes Vestegaard Vk Ndidi Bilal Skipp Abdul Ayew Mavididi
  12. I think we have strengthened but not by much. Facundo is technically better than KDH, but not by much, and doesn't have his strength on the ball, Skipp is strong but but not as technically gifted as KDH in front of goal, VK and Doyle has different qualities but equally as efficient imo. We've added BDCR and Ayew, the first has offered nothing so far, but Ayew has some qualities. Soumare could end up being a valuable player. Okoli could go on to be a good defender, but at present it looks as if he could be benched for the forseable, and we've let Nelson go out on loan. We also have Bilal and Golding who seem one for the future. We are stronger, but in squad depth rather than quality, a decent manager can use that depth to an advantage, but i dont think we have one
  13. Still too early to tell for me. Have we had a favourable fixture list so far this season? Our 2 next fixtures we expect 0 points, what will the table look like then? We looked utterly dreadful today, got lucky, we also lucked out against southampton, it took both of those teams to go to 10 men for us to get something from the games. You get the feeling Cooper doesn't know what to do, a bit like Pearson 14/15 when he was trying to drop on the right formula, the January window could be vital
  14. Positives today - Faes and Vestegaard looked more assured today as a defensive pair, and Ricardo and VK were also defensively good. Kacey looked capable and certainly should be given a chance I think, as should Soumare. Negatives - Playing Enzo ball in nonsense, we aren't Man City, we can't transition the ball quick enough, and as a result I'm not sure Winks is the player we need unless we're lcontrolling the play, we need to set up to play on the break, play nasty, consider changing it up from playing with natural wingers to over-running the midfield and using ayew or Edouard as a holding centre forward Mads Faes Vesty Riccy VK Skipp Ndidi Facundo Soumare Ayew Vardy Or playing 3 at the back with defensive wing backs Mads Faes Vesty Coady Riccy VK Soumare Facundo Bilal Ayew/Edouard Vardy But doing this with these players knowing that at 60 we'll bring Mavididi/Kacey and Fatawu on to run at tired full backs, because today, attacking wingers are useless when you can't transition the ball through midfield so all they're doing is defending
  15. I took it you was giving cooper the credit for us getting back into it, but I wasn't coming at you, just making a further point to consider
  16. does going the game give you same extra perspective rather than watching on the telly? Because I don't think you need to have been there to have worked out that we were being over-run after the first 15, right up to the sending off, because without that Ipswich would have been sure to get their first win. Furthermore, some can't afford the prices or refuse to pay them, but those with a season ticket, it doesn't make you some sort of super fan, especially when majority of those that do go, sit there and contribute to a poor atmosphere, and then leave at 80 minutes
  17. thing is with Puel, he was tasked with transitioning our style, he was short of certain players and did find the combination required before he was sacked
  18. we were being over-run in midfield, at 55 he should have gone 3 at the back with an extra man in midfield, 3/4 fresh players to to stick in some hard tackles/get closer on the press and get the riled up, he just waited way too long and got lucky
  19. i think to get a team playing with the players we have is a tough ask, but i think theres a better chance with a better manager
  20. we were playing against 10, ipswich went deep, thats what helped us, not coopers subs
  21. soumare maybe the answer for me
  22. winks is the new ndidi, you're just willing him not to shoot
  23. look at us passing the ball in triangles at 1 nil down and 10 to go ffs
  24. to be fair though soumare is the only player who is strong on the ball and can turn
