Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
splinterdream replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Supposedly theres about £35m spend allocated in accounts that are not stated as what it was for -
I just wish enzo would swap the wingers sometimes, let them use their natural foot to run to the line and pull balls back
-
look at it this way, we support the team and we want them to win, thats all that matters. lets win the championship and give them a headache. I think our position in this mess is a mix of 'having a go against the odds' and 'absolute incompetancy at a business level of running a football club', but should it be the fans and players that suffer? Lets just enjoy the football, win games and see what happens.

Can anybody say without a doubt, we aren't getting a points deduction this season? There's going to be a massive push from now for us to be punished this season, and some saying that it is within the realms of possibility for this to happen, think we need to brace ourselves. -
It had to be low for us to give him a new contract, i'd imagine there's performance related bonuses
-
If we don't get promoted, we will have to try and sell KDH, Winks. Ricardo, Daka, Praet and Coady to try not to breach 23/24. Vestegaard, Vardy, Nacho and Ndidi leave on a free, we'd have no Doyle, Akgun or Abdul. We'd have a transfer embargo and have to play academy players, what kind of restructure are you thinking, we don't get up this season, we're likely fighting relegation to league 1 next season.
-
isn't it 2 years, starts at 1 figure and reduces in 2nd year then stops in third
-
no, this just isn't true. we may get relegated straight away but 1 years prem money plus another parachute is better than staying in the championship
-
I think the point is, the club gambled, and gambled big, and when they realised how bad they messed up, they were trying not to make it worse financially, but they did. This is like somebody playing with monopoly money, it's like they never considered 'what if.....' and thats what you have to do in business. In my little business i've always had a buffer account, a bit of money just in case, like a bloody lockdown for example. If players were being given big figures in wages with no conditions attached, if Rodgers contract didn't say should our league position drop to this, we have the right to fire you without 100% remuneration being paid, but falling to incruments depending on position, then it's gross misconduct by those offering the contracts.
-
i know it's easy to say in hindsight, but surely it was easy to see the madness in giving Rodgers the contract they gave him, that person needs firing. Rodgers took on a gifted squad, he wasn't the miracle worker that the club and the media thought he was, we all as fans know that right? Maybe a conspiracy, but I swear Rodgers purposely ran down players fitness to lose games, and lose his job in 22/23 because it was obvious those players weren't fit, so what was going on? I really think Top is letting Rudkin run the club, and Rudkin clearly isn't good enough.

Absolutely missed a trick yesterday, 15 minutes left to go, vestegaard on a yellow, take him off for Coady, then if a cynical last ditch tackle/foul is required it can be carried out without a red
-
we're gonna win the league with Ipswich as runners up, Leeds gonna drop points here
-
ffs
-
Southampton with nothing to play for by the time they play us will be a bonus
-
Why is this all going t### up ?
splinterdream replied to marcymarc666's topic in Leicester City Forum
the thing is, it's about using the players at your disposal to get the results, and we have a more than a capable squad. You cannot underestimate what 3 or 4 fresh players can do at 60 minutes -
As i put in a previous post, when asked where it went wrong after the game, he said "i dont know, i'll need to look back and analyse the game as we had many chances", he also thought wilf, stephy and abdul played well. I thought bristol cancelled out our wingers, stephy looked lazy and leggy at times, wilf was missing in big parts of the game, KDH was struggling to ind pockets and we needed a different approach. Perhaps Enzo doesnt read the game well
-
Suprisingly, we are still in the drivers seat, if you showed your displeasure yesterday, then well done, those players need to know. There were sub par performances yesterday, Stephy, Abdul and Ndidi high among them, i think if anyone is going to lose it for us though it will be enzo, and he has time to examine his choices.
-
Yes we did change, we went far more attack minded, probably to the expense of our defense, i'd doubt it was the 'gerrit forward' crowd influenced him though, more like a request the players. I think the way forward now is to play in a way with priority not to concede, we play better with doyle at the back, and faes on the left to accomodate coady would be useless, so we need to motor on with that boring passing at the back and pick our moments more carefully, no forward runs from vestegaard or faes and lets play coady
