  1. ¡Vamos, España! ¡Gibraltar es español!
  2. Great finale to the world cup, from the two greatest nations. Heard there's a Spanish language version tomorrow, which is very inclusive.
  3. Hopefully there's some positivity around coming third and we can leave this maudlin naval gazing behind
  4. Sure but at times this was like those videos of three Japanese internationals vs 100 school children
  5. Don't think I've ever seen a game this open not only in the world cup but in professional football
  6. Commiserations to those who thought they were above watching this
  7. We were on top in the first half of the 100 years war too
  8. Yeah it's entertaining. Which is kind of the point?
  9. Rashford and Saka need to read the room man. This is a bit awkward.
  10. Looking forward to the Spanish signing about Gibraltar in their victory parade and everybody in England reflecting bitterly that Argentina didn't win.
  11. Would be interesting to hear from English people living in Australia if they agree with this.
  12. Connections Puzzle #1132 🟨🟨🟨🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟪🟦🟦🟦 🟦🟪🟦🟦 🟦🟦🟦🟦 🟪🟪🟪🟪
  13. Soft power latest, by the way
  14. And it wouldn't matter if they didn't. Not referring to this post btw, but I find this stuff about '"living in England but supporting the opposition" a little sinister to be honest, and very typically English. Much more subtle than the Argentinians, but still unpleasant.
  15. I feel like I can smell Javier Millei's unwashed hair from here
  16. I've hard these kind of complaints in literally every country I've spent significant time in, even in countries with relatively small immigrant populations. Maybe some truth in it, but it's not something I've really seen or heard beyond hoping sports teams lose.
  17. The English really are the Liverpool fans of international football
  18. Probably not in Italy. Spain perhaps, although those bars don't have 'locals' in them. I do though remember a Portuguese bar in my home town getting trashed in 2004.
  19. Having lived abroad for much of my adult life I can assure there is nobody worse for this than the English.
  20. Surprised at a lot of the 'Argentina vs the World' type memes doing the rounds. Just from casual observation of both friends and randomers on social media I'd say they're pretty popular and obviously their star man is worshipped by great swathes of the earth's population.
