My friend had loads of it and collapsed on a drinks machine that then toppled over. Was a great night. Brits abroad eh.

I remember drinking something black that is apparently made with like 50 different things from the forest and tastes of death

True. Often the first question I ask job applicants at the interview. Tbh after that you might as well stop the interview and throw the CV in the bin, I've got everything I need.

Ah, the Cork United vs Cork Town non-league derby. One of the highlights of the season.

Totally insane really that there is this one simple trick to improve the UK economy and we're not allowed even to entertain the thought of it.

Holborn/Bloomsbury is a good area for a pub crawl and good food.

The Dolphin and Duke are both beautiful pubs. Considering it's quite an upmarket area there's some good old school pubs round there - the Boot, Skinners, the John Russel, Mabels, McGlynns (permanently closed now I think). Good mix of students, tourists and locals. Nothing spectacular beer wise though.

I think the difference between Trump and Reform generally reflect the differences between US conservatives and UK "conservatives" in that the latter are still quite committed to Thatcherism, free trade etc whereas American right wingers are much more traditionally conservative and protectionist.

It's an example of how you're treated differently from Spanish citizens, which was your question. But yes, the discussion has gone off on something of a tangent from the original post.

Once again worth remembering there are more than just two countries in the world.

I'm guessing you can't vote in general elections.

Pretty certain that the 'hint' I used was totally wrong considering it showed a place with a sign in Hindi and then the answer was 7000km away from India.

Val di Funes is nice. Lots of buses going from Bressanone to Santa Maddalena. You can find a little Tyrolean inn for a beer. Timetables available here: https://www.suedtirolmobil.info/en/#/

I think I said to you before that the towns on the Italian side of Tyrol are quite beautiful. Bressanone, Bolzano, San Candido. Would try to get up into some of the valleys and small villages too. Train to Bressanone doesn't take long then there are buses going into the valleys.

I had a dream the night of the US election we appointed Kamala Harris and then we lost playing in a cave.

Spain is an interesting example because like all EU countries they discriminate between EU citizens and non EU citizens, and unfortunately we are now in the latter group.
