At the moment Britain appears to be very attractive to people from poor countries, and quite unappealing to those from richer ones. Not a great reflection on the state of the UK.

Still going for a narrow Harris win.

I was going to bet my friend a pint that Dawn Butler would call Badenoch a coconut within a week but she did it before I even got round to texting

The "I'm voting Trump/Brexit/Tories because I'm sick of being told what to do" stuff is stupid obviously but at the same time I kind of understand it because of how annoyingly puritanical the Anglo left has become. It's incredibly stifling when the most innocuous behaviour or language is problematised so I get why many people instinctively want to vote against that.

Good chance that the Labour and Conservative vote share is under 50% in 2029.

I think perhaps he just likes Trump (and Putin) because he is attracted to vindictive leaders who don't like being told what to do. It's a narcissistic thing, he sees similarities to himself. Also he seems to have been radicalised against 'the left' because he feels that they brainwashed his son. That's my theory anyway.

Imagine thinking you are that much smarter than billions of people on the planet that there is literally nothing you can learn from them.

You could argue the same thing about people who claim to be religious and then vote for a candidate who said recently "I will always stand up for Israel's right to defend itself and I will always ensure Israel has the ability to defend itself" as they carry out ethnic cleansing. Of course Trump would probably be as bad if not worse, but the problem with reducing it to a moral choice is that neither candidate is a particularly good person.

So true, brother. God has a plan for us all.

Also still looking for a ticket for this...
