I am sure being born in the UK like a lot of countries doesn't automatically make you a citizen. There are tourists, immigrants working on short term contracts, etc. If my girlfriend and I went to Italy to teach for a year and she gave birth there, the kid wouldn't be an Italian citizen, nor would we want it to be.
-
If there is a Welsh citizenship test I'm taking it
-
Only one of those that's 'British' is Welsh
-
I don't think there is Welsh citizenship but I am not an expert on devolution and such stuff Also I believe being born here doesn't necessarily mean you are a British citizen. We had this conversation a few weeks ago. An interesting one

This is pretty naive. There is I imagine in this country a pretty widely held belief that young black lads are disproportionately involved in violent knife crime. I doubt racists are going to ignore this incident now.
-
Genuine question - is he Welsh? because I don't know much about citizenship or the constitution but I would guess not.
-
I guess they don't speak Welsh either.
-
Not really sure what point you're making here. Guéhi is not an English name.
-
When people say a name is/isn't English/Welsh/Spanish/whatever I always assumed they're talking linguistically. Like 'Smith' is an English name, 'Gonzalez' Spanish, although they are the most common surnames in N and S America I believe.

As far as I'm aware all we know about this kid is that he has a Rwandan name. Nothing about religion or motivation.
-
Yeah what've you done with him?
-
Yes I sometimes feel like ridiculing the EDL and 'gammons' act as a kind of pressure valve for people as it allows them to vent on the obviously shit state of British society in an acceptable way.

he's a strange guy

Russians seem to be obsessed with us and believe the UK is behind every misfortune that has befallen their country, from the Bolshevik revolution to their present day struggles in Ukraine. At the same time in the UK, every time there is social unrest or any kind of slightly radical political movement (e.g. Brexit or Corbyn), lots of people here put it down to Russian interference and 'disinformation' peddled by St Petersburg based social media trolls. There is some truth to both but nowhere near the extent that some claim. And I think it's interesting how we've both become scapegoats in each other's country for our own societal ills that we obviously find difficult to truly come to terms with.

There's a book that needs to be written on the relationship between Britain and Russia in the 2020s. Two stumbling ex-Empires blaming each other for their own societal and political failings.

Life is beautiful and infinitely fascinating. And just because we mere mortals can't work out the meaning to it all, doesn't mean there isn't one.

EU going to block our reentry because of fears over importing violent crime from impoverished failed state Great Britain.

Age restricted I hope

Britain has a higher tolerance to anti social behaviour than any country I've spent time in.
