  1. You're all piling on but this is actually an intriguing question, and I have no idea what the answer would be. Would maybe lean towards the club sides but it depends which team gets to keep the players that play for both e.g. Kimmich or Dembele.
  2. Typical English. Invade a place then complain everyone's speaking a foreign language
  3. Sure, the comment was responding to the article and Brexit discourse in general, not your post. Irish great grandparents for me. Not enough for a passport though possibly could've got me a place in the USA 94 squad...
  4. I know in England we all have to pretend this isn't the case but giving up freedom of movement is as bad as any of those things in my opinion
  5. 'Top' is probably the least apt nickname in all history
  6. surprised to see such big crowds at this time of the night
  7. He may just have been told this and not know it's not true - why would he? Though I am probably just saying this because I refuse to accept Huth slander. Top 3 favourite player ever.
  8. Oscar is one of those names that is now a bit posh-coded when it's a baby but also connotes an old London Irish guy playing cards in a pub in Cricklewood.
  9. Ok they haven't been great at the back but that's harsh
  10. Just waiting for someone to say the Scots being cheerful is "performative"
  11. Scots - *have a good time* Miserable English - "wow, what arrogance and delusion!"
  12. Wasn't it Norway vs Morocco? The Eggen Chippo game.
  13. Too right. Dunno why Brits have this whole thing about not putting on heating during certain months. Bloody freezing today.
  14. Free Saturdays can be so useful
  15. It was a bit incoherent so maybe I misread but I think it was a long the lines of "it's the Jews making us all fight each other" or something.
  16. The Anglo Saxons continue to toil under the Norman yoke
  17. I think the "it's all the fault of the Jews" was probably the final straw
  18. Happened to me once where I didn't watch a game but wanted to make it sound like I had so wrote "Perez was shit as per" and it was the one time he was actually good. Got a right pile on of laughing emojis.
  19. Funny how perceptions can differ so much - Burnham strikes me as completely inauthentic and self-absorbed.
  20. There is often an excuse for large scale disorder, it is one of the best ways of affecting change. Although they might not be able to articulate it very well, I think people are tired of living in a country that has given up trying to improve people's living standards and instead seems to focus mostly on managing relations between Britain's now pretty disparate 'communities'. Throw in to the mix an alarmingly high rate of young men not in work or education, increasing cost of living, wage compression, plus social media, and obviously it's not going to end well. It never does, I don't know why the Brits think they'll be any different. Having said all that, loyalists do be loyalists.
  21. Cooked tomatoes are obviously the basis of some of the world's great cuisine. Raw tomatoes are good if they are good, ripe tomatoes i.e. from a warm place, and they are room temperature and served with some bread and feta type cheese. Anglo-Saxons have a habit of serving thinly sliced, ice cold, hard tomato, which is barbaric.
