  1. Sam Smiths' pubs aren't too bad. Great interiors and I actually quite like the beer. Last time I was in one they had a pint of mild for like 3.50. Just remembered I recommended a Sam Smiths' pub to you to take the Norwegian LCFC fans to and you said you liked it, now I don't know what to believe anymore.
  2. Looking at the photo above I agree and would quite like to change it, but am worried changing a profile pic to something recommended by another poster would be very awkward and cringey
  3. I don't think this is necessarily an argument in favour of migration levels being so high. I also don't know how reflective it is of immigration to the UK since 2020
  4. Told you! 😂 (You don't expect me surely to actually read links in posts I'm replying to?)
  5. They'll spin the news as Brexit and Tory policy starting to have an effect and how it'd be even lower if it wasn't for migrant loving Kier
  6. Hungary's TFR is still well below replacement levels and I think has actually declined slightly since 2020. I don't think government policy has actually managed to make much of a difference to this anywhere.
  7. Jesus wept.
  8. knife through butter
  9. we're shit but looked marginally off the first time I saw it
  10. Infantino makes Peter Drury compilations from his bedroom
  11. Deeefence. Silly people
  12. Route
  13. Annoys me more than it should that hardly anyone in this country can use "reactionary" correctly
  14. I only go to 1 or 2 games a season with my Dad who's getting too old to travel and go readily, so I enjoy every time. Last one was the 6-2 QPR game. Before that I went on my own to the Bournemouth win and I've probably never enjoyed a win less.
  15. The internet is for hyperbole and spicy takes, enjoy it. Also I just noticed the quote in your signature, explains a lot
  16. We're still living the long 2016. Even Leicester fans.
  17. We're talking Parr era Henry VIII too, not Field of the Cloth of Gold era Henry.
  18. You may disagree but I don't think there's anything "absurd" about the claim. They were very talented musicians, maybe not the most talented of all time or anything like that, but certainly pretty unique for indie music. Petridis puts it better obviously than I could: https://www.theguardian.com/music/2025/nov/20/mani-writhing-relentless-bass-the-stone-roses-secret-sauce-taught-indie-kids-to-dance?
  19. People in Bulgaria will say corruption but I doubt their football federation is any more corrupt than say Macedonia or Albania who have had relative success recently. They just don't produce good players. One thing I've noticed in Sofia is the serious lack of young people playing any type of football compared to other countries, including Balkan countries. No idea why that is. It's like they've collectively given up.
  20. Very difficult to walk into a club like that with no managerial experience. Personally I think he could have a decent career but this job is a car crash waiting to happen
  21. I'd rather watch my club in the Vauxhall Conference than be from Birmingham
  22. Top guy. From '21 to '23 he would've been a better option at left back than anything else we had. Tough job though.
  23. Never been a massive fan of gobby northern indie bands that inspire football club like followings of middle aged men who watch a lot of Shane Meadows films. But early Roses were the real deal, partly because they were such good musicians. Squire obviously is a very talented guitarist (shit solo stuff notwithstanding), but Mani and Reni together were arguably the best rhythm section in British rock history (I guess people might say Led Zep but they're a bit before my time so whatever). I know a lot of people including the band themselves thought the production of the debut album undersold their talents but I still love how it sounds. It's such a gorgeous album and one of the few albums from the Madchester/Britpop era that people will be still be raving about in decades to come.
  24. League 2 player of the year 27/28. Foxestalk user pmcla26 says this proves all he needed was a good manager.
