Must be high up our all time assists as well. I know he's number 1 in the PL era and I guess they don't keep the records much beyond that.

Trade deal with India and facilitating the movement of Indian workers to the UK was one of the arguments Brexiters were using during the referendum iirc. So I'm sure now Labour has delivered it there'll be much celebration all round. And anyway we have something similar with the EU I think, and probably the US.

A "dinosaur" according to a post I recently read on here

As Ron Atkinson says in the commentary of the famous playoff final ending, he was a great reaction keeper. Pulled off some fantastic saves at times, especially in that season's semi final. An important player in our history.
-
Never thought I'd see anyone score 200 for us in my lifetime. Certainly not with the majority of them being in the top tier. Would be a genuinely historic moment for the club.

For the 100th time Chinese people are not all small

It's always amazing in Venice just how quiet some backstreets are, or at least compared to the main drags. Very silly people all filing down the same bit to the Rialto and on to San Marco. But at least that means there are plenty of little neighbourhood squares, taverns and churches that are virtually empty.
-
How was Verona? Do you rate Venice as magical, must-see city of art and architecture, or hideously overhyped and overcrowded tourist trap? (or both?)

I know a couple of people who say they hate Trump but are Reform-curious. Many people in rural England are the kind of people who moved or would like to move to Spain and voted for Brexit. Their world view is not coherent.

I genuinely find your love for her quite touching

Pretty clear by now that policies like the flags one are designed to garner a particular response on social media ("stupid flagshaggers" etc) which will be seen by those voters they are targeting and solidify their support even further. MAGAists do similar stuff.

Ouch. I'll be a bit more polite and say she looks more British than Bulgarian.
-
Bozhilova being ref is quite big sports story in Bulgaria. My girlfriend was telling me about it and I didn't want to try and explain how I knew exactly what she looks like despite having zero interest in snooker.
-
I'm glad she made the comments because it brings out into the open what much of our political and media class believe - that a lot of the outrage over the grooming gangs and the subsequent cover up is simply concocted or whipped up by bad faith actors.

I agree just wanted to give a bit of love to Flowers. And I think he commanded his box better than Kasper
-
Flowers was great. Commanded his box, unreal shot stopper sometimes, and came across as a bit of a mad bastard in a very good way. A lot of bottle.

I agree there is a certain irony to mostly right wingers in Britain expecting immigrants to integrate, muck in and start cooking for their neighbours when as you point out we have become quite an antisocial and incohesive society thanks partly to some of the policies those same people have spent years voting for. However I think it's inevitable there is unease at certain aspects of multiculturalism as it plays out particularly in poorer, urban areas of England and western Europe. Maybe better if people are honest about that instead of beating around the bush talking about infrastructure and the economy.
-
I'm not talking about integration, as you say we're a very atomized society anyway. I'm talking about fear of cultural change, which I think is what causes most unease certainly in Europe towards immigration, particularly towards people from MENA countries.
