Piastri’s strategy a bit bizarre no? Was right on Lando, flatspotted, and yet stayed out for 3 extra laps after Lando boxed. By then the gap had increased to 6 seconds and it’s always gonna be a tough ask from there with tyres that were only 3 laps newer. Didn’t quite get that one

Loving the Knockout tour in Mario Kart, but is it really not possible to join a friend online and then both enter a room to play against other randoms online? Only option we’ve had so far is to join a room together which is then filled with AI bots. Am I missing something? Massively disappointing if it’s not possible.

Finally got round to setting our record player back up after years of storing it away cos of small kids and their gross hands. Marked the occasion by picking up these two Turnstile bangers - Glow On and Never Enough.

Haha, Wind Waker to me is what Breath of the Wild is to you I find WW to be one of the most tedious Zelda games ever. Some of the dungeons are good but everything around it is so dull imo. I think it's part of the reason why I love Twilight Princess so much. For me, that game is everything Wind Waker isn't.

Feels like a very nice piece of hardware. Mario Kart is brilliant, tonnes of fun. My kids have already yelled and screamed at each other so everything going as I expected. Had a quick go on the upscaled Zelda games and the difference is staggering. Looking forward to get properly stuck into the console but first impressions are pretty good.

Been all over this for the past two or so weeks. Turnstile, PUP and Viagra Boys all releasing new material this year is huge. Oh and Wolf Alice are teasing new stuff too!

It should be easier than Suzuka. For starters, there are more DRS zones. I expect Piastri to win but you can never discount Max. McLaren’s race trim is good, so Norris should get to at least 4th, but he made a meal of overtaking last week so let’s see how he gets on. Certainly not unrealistic to see him slip to 3rd in the standings after this GP.

Poor from Norris that. Will probably still finish P2, but I expect Piastri to close the gap to him and Max this weekend.

I kind of agree. Mario Kart and GameCube did it for me, although gutted Zelda: WW got the nod over Zelda: TP (criminally underrated Zelda game) for now. My kids loved the Mario Kart trailer, so will probably be getting it day 1 anyway. DK is out in the summer and Kirby isn’t a strong enough franchise to be a system seller, so I still think 3D Mario will be their holiday title. They’ll probably reveal it at a summer direct.

Yeah I would imagine a big part on Mario Kart and probably also a the next 3D Mario platformer. Maybe they say a Zelda is in development but that’s probably a bit too soon. I’m pretty certain we’ll get some mention of the Zelda franchise though, so if it’s not a teaser for a new one, I would absolutely adore an Ocarina of Time remake.

For anyone interested in the Switch 2 direct, it's today at 2pm. Excited to see what they'll show off. Hell of an era the Switch. My favourite console since N64 and this is still my favourite ever video game trailer.
