Like I said, it's far from over. But it is a start. There are plenty of sellable assets remaining – Fatawu, Monga, Mavididi, Skipp, Winks, Okoli, Stolarczyk. But we're holding onto them. For good reason.
-
Agree to disagree Skipp Winks Soumaré Choudhoury Wanya Page Ricardo has also played central midfield in the past (quite successfully, I might add).
-
Well, better a late epiphany than never.

I did not say the redemption arc was complete. What we think players are worth and what they are actually worth are two different pairs of shoes. Also, we still don't know much about potential sell-on clauses. Calling Justin "solid" is quite an exaggeration, I remember him being bit of a bombscare as a defender (as he tended to join attacks too often, leaving his flank exposed). I've addressed my dissatisfaction with Daka, Faes and Soumaré numerous times, and I'm still hopeful we'll sell at least one of them for a decent amount of money sooner than later (the Saudi League's transfer window is open for a few more days).

We're a bit "spoiled" in central midfield, if this deal does come through. I'm still expecting one of Skipp, Winks or Soumaré to leave.

Woyo Coulibaly (gone to Sassuolo on loan, official)

Wish him all the best back in Italy. Another one of these signings that seem to have been in vain. -
Two so far, with potentially more loan players to follow.

Bilal El Khannouss loaned to Stuttgart - Official

Pretty much. Also, he wouldn't have been given the number 11 shirt if that weren't the case. -
The redemption arc is in full swing. Who'd have thought we'd say "Rudkin" and "one of the most successful transfer windows in years" in the same sentence? You can't but applaud him for a) offloading all the excess baggage b) getting decent amount of money for younger players c) getting homegrown players in or players with potential, addressing the positions where they are most needed Let's continue to #draintheswamp

Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)
MC Prussian replied to lcfc_forever's topic in Transfer Talk
Transfer had been confirmed by some reliable sources a few days ago. VfB Stuttgart can splash the cash after the Woltemade transfer. That means it's a double-digit amount of £. Good on us, hope we invest wisely – and in an attacking midfielder we can build a team around, and not one who leaves again after one meagre season. -
Alves loaned to Huddersfield - Official

Wish him well at Huddersfield, plenty of opportunities to learn and improve, and to gain confidence. Will will come back better and stronger from this. -
Valenciennes are paying tribute to Japan in their own way, as Toyota are producing cars in the region for 25 years now – they label the away and goalkeeper shirt (orange) "manga-style".
-
Le Havre home. Very old school-ish. Shame about the betting sponsor.
-
Lorient home. Supposed to be orange-y.
-
As long as he manages to create opportunities up front, I'm in. Skipp and WInks aren't attacking-oriented midfielders, they hover around in the middle or behind the strikers too often. I'd confidently say, 99 percent of our goal contributions have come from either flank. If we can add a bit more oomph up front, the better. At 21, Jordan has lots of potential.

Odd move in terms of club, as Cremonese isn't really that popular. It'll be now, though. Wish him well in Lombardy. Certainly offers better weather and better food than Leicester (sorry). And the missus can shop in nearby Milan. Now for one of those Cremonese away shirts (the home shirt is ugly, can't understand why a club would opt for grey in their colours).

9 goals in 118 matches with Brum and Rennes suggest otherwise.

LCFC 2-0 Birmingham, post-match thread
MC Prussian replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
All in all, a deserved win. We were the better team – and Birmingham shockingly average, for all the pomp and glamour pre-season. They hardly threatened up front. We need more punch in midfield and at least one prolific striker. -
Fantastic combination, neat finish from another unlikely source! RICARDOOOO! 2-0
-
Wow, Ricardo. Not even 5 minutes on the pitch, then this...
-
Patson Daka, please report to the information desk ON FLOOR 20.
-
Promising start to the first half, then it fell off somewhat. I'd love to see us put on more pressure in midfield.
-
Fair challenge on a keeper way outside his box.
-
Demarai Gray wasn't the most likable player we had, but booing him seems rather unnecessary. I didn't even know he'd signed for Brum.
