Speaking of established football clubs going bankrupt, that's what happened to KFC Uerdingen 05 (previously known as Bayer 05 Uerdingen). Withdrew from the Regionalliga this April. All players were subsequently released. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KFC_Uerdingen_05 Uerdingen won the German Cup against Bayern in 1985, and the Intertoto Cup several times. They had a crazy 1985/1986 season in the UEFA Cup, beating Dynamo Dresden (then still part of the GDR) in spectacular fashion, later losing to Atlético Madrid. They played in the Bundesliga for several years, in an era where clubs such as SG Wattenscheid 09 or FC Homburg were in the top flight, too. Hope they come back stronger and better.

Random lower league football kit news of the day: Halesowen Town FC home and away. (Don't ask me why, it's probably the belltower crest)

All that German media hype pre-match about not having lost against Portugal in years, especially with Ronaldo in their squad.

Don't Castore have major quality issues? I heard a lot of talk about logos/crests easily peeling off, the shirts getting destroyed upon a first wash. Or is that a thing of the past and they're reliable now?

Fubar is just.... bad. Arnold Schwarzenegger in an action role in his mid- to late 70ies just doesn't do it for me. And his "daughter" in the series is just plain annoying, the bad-ass character not believable. Bad writing, bad acting, a casting that ticks all boxes (minorities are a must, sauf Asian-Americans, as per usual).

Unbelievable comeback from Oldham. Third goal was a freak, but spectacular nevertheless.

That Yoganathan fellow is all over the place, just not on the pitch.

We might have reason to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of our title-winning-season in a year's time - provided we achieve promotion. Other than that, not much to cheer about these days. Squad issues, ownership, sponsorship and (upper) management issues, ticket prices (not lowering them after relegation is a dick move, imho). Could all have been different, if it hadn't been for a plethora of utterly poor decisions on and off the pitch.

Oldham vs. Southend today. Would like to see the Latics back in the Football League, much more than the Shrimpers.

I'd like to see him back in a Leicester shirt, he was one of the bright stars in an otherwise rather poor squad. -
I do hope he's fully recovered by the time pre-season starts. He's one of those players that we desperately need up front, quick, skilled, with an eye for goal, freeing up space for others.

Speaking of transforming toys, I've recently started collecting Takara Tomy Masterpiece Transformers, with a couple of Fans Toys Transformers on the way, too. Also got these Mecha Invasion beauties, as I somehow never managed to get all Constructicons as a kid: That's Giant Legion – all individual Transformers are Masterpiece size. The complete thing is huge.

Also down to the rivalry between Trohno and Montréal. And the Leafs have the odd ability to cock it up in post-season every single time. On a serious note, nothing against the French-Canadians. My favourite player ever is Super Mario. The reason why I follow the Pens up to this day.
