  1. Remember "Respect is a big thing in Thailand? So is losing face. The lack of accountability comes from all angles but Top can't admit he's made a mistake so none of his acolytes do either.
  2. Nostalgia merchants are so boring. I saw a clip of Arsenal vs Chelsea in 03/04 and the quality is shit for how good the players were
  3. When people have to tell you they won't click on a news link because it's a particular newspaper. We get it, you don't the like the sun, the fail, the grauniad whatever, you don't have to post it. Depriving them 0.4p of your ad revenue will make them reconsider their model I'm sure.
  4. The funny thing is I remembered them saying in the summer of 2022 that we weren't spending much in fear of the stricter UEFA FFP regs, it was laughable at the time as we obviously weren't qualifying. Quite amazing to break the regs as spectacularly as we have and still go down. At least Forest have signed 40 players, prior to this season we signed about 7 players permanently in 4 years
  5. Can you imagine any of our board with their academy coaching experience, duty free and jewellery experience understanding that?
  6. Also pretty telling that Sormaz held the Head of Analytics position, after he left we started advertising the lead data scents role instead. Banrsnly seem progressive, Sormaz will do well there.
  7. If the top brass were competent they could sell it as a great opportunity for solid career progression at a club with some great immutable features (big fanbase, stadium, Seagrave, reputation) - you could come in and have blank slate to work with. Instead these cretins won't relinquish any control even though they're clueless. Instead we're the Costa Concordia off the coast of the championship.
  8. Clubs will spend £1.5m p/a for a third choice keeper but probably baulk at £250k p/a for a DoF, arguably the most influential person at a club
  9. Our academy players get more stick than they they ought to. About a third of this board didn't think much of Barnes
  10. Nobody with a good CV stays very long at LCFC. Sormaz, McGuinness, Macia etc.
  11. It's not surprising the communication is so bad, if we had an idea what was going on they'd be under far more scrutiny. They've probably thought about suing HMRC for making them file the accounts and the DWP for making them pay minimum wage.
  12. We're not in this mess because we overspent chasing the dream. We overspent because the decsions makers at the club are inept. Our owner financing has been through loans (with interest) and eventually written off with debt to equity transfers. We didn't gamble by signing loads of players, we've mostly made a profit on player trading, we've had to sell players to fund our runaway wage budget. We spunk money on shit players with long contracts and don't try very much to shift them. We were more of threat to the top 6 when we we ran a tight(er) ship. We operated leaner, recruited well, made shrewd decisions. Instead we tried to run like Manchester United (not Man City) with a similar level of operating income to Wolves.
  13. Even if it was a few individuals who went rogue, sacking them and getting capable replacements in doesn't matter if Top is this incompetent/stupid/negligent. Doesn't matter if we got Begiristain, Ashworth/Edwards or whoever because Top can't do anything useful. We got relegated and he had a statement written saying wah was wah poor me. He's a cretin. He's had an elite education, worked at the club and saw firsthand what success looked like and since he's had the reigns we've regressed cataclysmically. He couldn't have wished for a better primer to this role and he's completely f ucked it. His incompetent culture also means nobody else falls on their sword because why would you? There is ZERO accountability at the club. The only people ever to get sacked at Leicester are the managers, even then they'll give them so much rope to hang themselves their feet touch the ground. They all need to f uck off. New owner, new board ASAP.
  14. They had the temerity to pretend the EFL jumping the gun mattered
  15. Tomorrow I’m going to find some of my old posts and feel slightly smug for some scant consolation. None of the wretched c unts will resign, it’s like it just somehow transpired, the house of cards fell around them, like they didn’t have any agency, none of them sanctioned this spending or signed the contracts. SMEs can’t run like this but a £200m business can. They should be lined up and f ucking shot.
  16. Nice sinecure because it might be as well be a ceremonial position
  17. They’re not even good at that, e.g ticketing
  18. Over the years you’ve always been so generous - thanks
  19. It’s like a niche off license but they have a few taps and a fair amount of seating. It was busy for just before 17:00 on a Thursday - although it could have just been the bank holiday’s doing.
  20. Mountsorrel is pound for pound maybe the best place in the county for drinking. Wilfred Pinsent, Sorrel Fox, The Swan and (less so) The Waterisde are fantastic
  21. I was chatting to him post match and he was just as livid about the performance and stubbornness as we all are
  22. Fantastic city for boozing in. Bristol and Liverpool are the best 2nd tier cities for it imo.
  23. He was gash in 21-22 when we were way more functional than 22-23, started 12 league games. Why would we burn ourselves with his wages again whilst his value depreciates even more? He has few discernible strengths. Sell, sell, sell.
  24. If we absolutely must sell, Hermansen should be the priority. I think he's fantastic but he has an in-demand skill set, prime saleable age and we could potentially treble our outlay on him. We then have Stolyczark to step in. KDH would fetch more, you'd think, but we can't replace 80% of his output even if we spent > 100% of the price, even spending half the fee we'd get is out of the question. Choudhury and McAteer would be excellent sales if we could pick the right fee up too. Soumare, Kristiansen, Souttar aren't great sales but having their wages off the books are the primary concern, we're not in a financial mess because of our transfer spending, it's the wages. If we're tied to 70% of our turnover then we have to blitz the wage bill to give us any headroom.
  25. It’s worth it on the long run but we just did it the wrong way around
