I'm in the market for a new role, I have extensive experience in football as a youth coach, academy director, director of football and horse racing. Anything coming up?
-
The Sam Wallace telegraph article last year "Rudkin reports directly to Top, as he did Vichai, and is his boss’ chief advisory voice on all matters from signings to managerial sackings and appointments." Top likely isn't involved in the day to day running so Rudkin assumes the responsibility - that's a fair assumption. Even if Rudkin isn't directly, completely culpable he keeps overseeing issues like this - eventually the senior figure has to take responsibility for it. In the same way that if a manager keeps picking a player that makes mistakes, they're responsible for it.
-
New owners could like, get us relegated from the Premier League, or something!
-
Should Rudkin be sacked and replaced?
-
The Silva deal was pure incompetence, there aren't any successes that match up to that failure purely from the DoF's view. What are Rudkin's big successes in transfer, wage and contract negotiations? What % of deals have we been the clear winner in and then used the funds to good effect? Barnes we got about £5m more than Southampton did for Livramento. Spurs paid less for Maddison than Everton did for Richarlison despite heaving way more goal contributions. Winks, £10m good signing about the market rate. Coady, too long a deal for his age, barely played and not very good. Choudhury, new 4 year deal despite making circa 90 apps in 7 years. Fatawu and Akgun's loans, good signings but we haven't secured them yet. Hermansen, you know what we actually did well out of this one. Mavididi, good signing, went for the going rate. Cannon, jury is out, decent enough singing but if we're so hamstrung by FFP and PSR, a 4th striker for £7m wasn't the best allocation of funds. Casadei, loan - nothing lost about from we're a body lighter in midfield now and our only other physical presence. Then when you get onto the players we can't shift permanently: Souttar, recent signing - will sell for a loss eventually whilst paying his wages Thomas, not rated, not sold even though he'd be pure profit and his contract expires this summer Praet, we cut our nose to spite our face here with Torino Soumare, we've had offers and not sold. Then there's the c.£100m of signings that left for nothing in the summer: Mendy Perez Soyuncu Amartey Evans Tielemans He's the DoF, academy director, Head of Ops at King Power Racing and a director at Leuven. He's at best overworked and at worst incompetent. Sensi might have f ucked about, Inter might have f ucked about - if that's the case release a statement? Instead we (probably) have a pissed off manager, a pissed off player, pissed off agent and a pissed off selling club. It really is no surprise most people, including some of the most well informed posters on the forum point the finger at Rudkin. Top also has to bear the brunt too, we're dysfunctional in the market when it comes to buying, selling and negotiating.

If we want to deal in facts - We got relegated, the most expensive squad and the highest previous finishing position to do so - This administration spent £22m on a player and didn't register him in time - Last January's signings circa £30m's worth are unwanted - We chased Sensi for most of the window but it fell through at the final hurdle We can only SPECULATE as to what's happened, sure, but we'll never have the facts so this servile rhetoric of we "simply just don't know what goes on so it's all fine" is silly, it's obfuscation for another failure to do what we want. "We don't know" lets everybody off the hook and it'll happen again.

The club aren't going to shag you mate
-
Why would they not want the deal to go through? They clearly want to sell, they’d get a fee for a player who is leaving in the summer for nothing, shed his wages and having a pissed of Sensi back does nothing for them.
-
The lack of communication from the club is also shit. In the unlikely event it’s Sensi, his agent or Inter pissing around - tell us. Instead we’re in the dark and that only leads us to look at our track record and realise it’s probably our internal **** ups, again.
-
It’s embarrassing, to some degree I think other clubs will try to avoid dealing with us. First the Silva fiasco and now this, I’d imagine Inter rightly think we’re a bunch of a c unts.
-
Apologies I’d missed that thread - hope it goes well
-
Judging Faes on last season is completely moronic, the Tielemans and Soumare midfield screen was more like a broken net, heavy but you could easily slip through.
-
For the first January window in years I've not seen anybody do the usual "Chill out there's a whole 27, 23, 18, 2 weeks, 10 days, a whole week, 4 days, 72 hours, tomorrow, 6 hours to get what we need done, well we have the whole summer to get players, January is abad window anyway"
-
Under Rodgers regime I remember reading a rumour that Evans was told to run off the worst grade muscle tear possible
-
Anybody going to anything? The thread went down well last year. It's a great event and one we're lucky to have - you don't see enough publicity about it. https://comedy-festival.co.uk 7 acts for £7 is always a good, cheap intro. https://comedy-festival.co.uk/events/7-acts-for-7/

We’ve signed 3 decent strikers since Ulloa and they’re all here now , we can’t lose 3 in 6 months.
-
He’s capable of scoring 10+ in the PL, Vardy probably isn’t anymore and Cannon is totally unproven. Iheanacho’s contract is up in the summer. Selling puts us in a worse position on the summer. He seems happy enough being a rotation option too, doesn’t make sense to shift unless we’re properly in the shit - in that case sack Rudkin.
-
Brief salvo 2019-21 but you're right. Top inherited this position, KP were granted a concession for a captive audience by the king built by his dad. He doesn't have the credentials for it.

What a Difference a Decade Makes ... Same Results, DIfferent Vibe
Stadt replied to KingsX's topic in Leicester City Forum
On the style of play point, it just isn't possible to play like the 13/14 team. Football has moved on, teams are far compacter and difficult to play against. -
If people are actively looking, the more casual fan or bloke whose kids are interested won't be. The club only ever do digital marketing because it's easier to track. A big direct mail campaign throughout the county would be pretty cheap (for them) and a great way to build the mailing list. They're complacent because we won the lottery on the pitch 8 years ago and our group is currently too small.
-
The discontent with the style of play is downstream of the "match day experience" in my opinion. Boring ground, 90% sat down in homogenous stands, crap expensive beer, music blasted out at full time, stale STH set up, minimal general sale tickets. The moaners don't like going to games which is why they leave at 85 minutes - it's easier to reconcile that you're fed up with the style of play than simply just football. It's a difficult thing to admit. It didn't matter how we played, they'd moan. How many people would like to give up their ST for year? I've thought about it, a friend of mine said the same recently. Instead we can't because there's no chance of getting it back. It's down to the club to find out why people are unhappy, why they're leaving early, find out what they want and what makes games enjoyable. Instead they're low agency suits with a disinterest in making things better.

I’d say so, Mumbai Inn is my favourite but Mem Saab was a cut above food wise. Nice pint of Sagres in there too.
-
Some how I’d never been to Mem Saab until now. Fantastic restaurant.
-
He's had more head injuries than Bruno Fernandes after 80 minutes
-
I think his passing was pretty good, those lofted passes didn't come off because the forwards miscontrolled them, mostly. He broke the lines when under pressure without smashing the ball away aimlessly.
