Easy to say with the benefit of hindsight but completing Seagrave before expansion was backwards too. We could have sustainably increased our revenues but instead we added massive overhead first. It's funny "Well it's just a business now not a football club" as quasi-defence of all the shit decisions doesn't work. Businesses typically get things right, people get sacked and they make money.

The most successful England manager for X years stuff is nauseating. He's been in post longer than average and with that he keeps underachieving, failure it's talked up as success because he's 'a nice bloke'.

We have to spend the money to compete, would you rather we just got relegated and cheaped out? And besides how was Rudkin supposed to know he'd do his ACL again? You don't know that we've refused offers anyway, the Hellas Verona deal could have been structured terribly for all we know.
