Yeah I think I’ve found someone who’d I want fighting my corner 🤣 Breath of fresh air

What a dismissive, arrogant comment. What’s to stop them achieving what the likes of us or Brighton did
-
It’s a compliment. On paper and budget, Ipswich shouldn’t be anywhere near the top two but they are.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
CosbehFox replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
We know now as a fact that we’ve broken the PSR limit. If we were sat in the PL, we’d be deduct four points as of this month. We know the forecast for the next two PSR predictions isn’t pretty without major incoming transfers. So in twelve months time in a future where we are promoted, we probably sit down again and like Forest with the reduce limit allowance… we are charged again and we’ve lost our ability to claim mitigation. Rather than a manageable four points deductions, PL seek for more and it becomes harder to be competitive. In twelve months, in a future where we are in the EFL, well that’s when they start to implement really stringent financial controls. -

They’ve taken legal advice for sure. We are effectively just try to push the punishment on and dance with divisional changes. Which just makes the need to be promoted even higher stakes before. It’s high risk stuff. Take the punishment on the chin and on we go. -

Effectively we are attempting to push it down the road further enough that the rules change at some point. -

Because this is the time of year when accounts are released etc. and the FFP cycle for the PSR calculation. LCFc could have chosen to comply and control that timeframe. Instead we are to challenge the rules (or like of provision in the rules) to get ourselves off. I find the lack of responsibility again - just like I through the last three years - another example in the lack of leadership -

The process begins again. Authorities release statement, club release statement with no named individual, silence for the continued period. Repeat. Antony got this to a tee these days. Don’t expect any name attached to any statement because that defines responsibility. -

And people on here have still been trusting the club. The latter part is a disgrace on the face of it -
Safe standing - time to act
CosbehFox replied to Safe Standing Roadshow's topic in Leicester City Forum
One of the versions yes. The official safe standing is seats what sit in the rails - they can be 'unlocked' for seating and locked against the rails for standing. -
You wouldn’t be in the minority thinking that. Personally think it’s been bloody awful for the sport in the reliance on television and its money.

Ahh there we go

Didn't surprise me to see it was some Cov fan kickoff about the St George cross on the neck being a different shade/colour from the traditional red

Firstly I don’t know why you keep using last year’s table as some comparable - an average of the previous last ten seasons would be better. 6th place is poor for a club of Leicester City’s current standing. Particularly in the context, 69 points for 6th last season was a 10 season low for 6th place. Our 2024 table positioning is 8th. The point about last years table is irrelevant and tells us nothing.

Hoaggyball

Yeah agreed. However if you have a larger budget available, your capabilities to get it right are heavily increased. For example, not every club in the championship is capable of spending £7million on a fourth choice striker ala Leicester. Hence bigger budget clubs are generally higher in the table. Only have to look how the Premier League and the Championship follow that pattern. Chelsea and Ipswich are two exceptions to it.
-
Your point was that 6th would be an acceptable position. Or that form to the equivalent of it is acceptable. I challenged that because based on budget, squad and resource that would be a failure. As the bookmakers and punters viewed it. I happen to think we will make the top two.
-
Yeah they shouldn’t be there. They should be up in the top six If you have that resource and misuse it, that’s a failure of the club collectively. Ipswich are doing incredibly well this season and deserve far more coverage than they are getting. It’s really understated. Equally Southampton are making a mess. I have a copy of the season guide racing post here (keep it every year) - well informed punters have Leicester as 1st - favourite to win the league. As opposed to LCFC fans with biased views to our own optimism or negativity, that’s neutrals looking in.
-
and you miss out a team who are newly promoted and their budget is firmly middle of the pack
-
Something that’s happened repeatedly for umpteen years including time during our last spell in the division?
-
Final day confirmed as 12.30 Saturday
-
When the club say money is too tight to put something (safe standing) which will make a difference but happy to keep producing clappers at cost

Colchester pitch - reduced size

Yeah 10th. Higher than Norwich, Ipswich and Southend that season
