Not that I've read their manifesto, but aren't they in favour of halting 'mass' immigration and sorting out some sort of skills based system? Much like Australia does. Slotting every single immigrant into one big category is the wrong thing to do IMO.

The auditing is a panel set up by the PL though. I'm not saying those stats are wrong, but any statistics can be twisted to support a viewpoint. Some of the 96% being correct I imagine is probably using the old 'interpretation of the law/rule' cliche, so they can argue the decision is correct, but if it went the other way, they would also argue it to be correct.

Who do people think we're realistically going to get? Cooper is about 3rd best known choice for me, Potter > Corberan > Cooper. Unless people want to take a chance of a relatively unknown foreign manager, who someone who has not much experience being a manager.

I'm not sure being a a left party would get you elected tbh, even against this current Government. Centre-left they might. I've pretty much lost interest in politics completely, the EU was blamed for years as to why our politicians were crap, then once they were out the picture no-one else could be blamed. Not many MPs are competent at all IMO, just annoys me even reading about or discussing politics, really frustrating.
