  1. If its a conspiracy theory then why did he refuse to answer the question about it at the post match presser?
  2. Are these in league games or European games where you have to have 2 on the bench?
  3. You can easily do it but what other manager actually willingly does it? None of the top ones thats for sure.
  4. He could actually end up being our top scorer this season. I feel like the system suits a player arriving late from the middle rather than the striker itself.
  5. I do see your point but with how unbalanced the squad currently is and statistically speaking attacking subs change games more often than defensive ones and even more so than goalkeeping ones why would you leave yourself short in the more likely scenario of needing to chase the game? He’s clearly a very clever bloke but no other manager willingly sticks 2 keepers on the bench not even Pep.
  6. True but he’s already made it clear he doesn’t want or rate them so he’s making it harder for himself to bring them back in when he would rather involve Danny Ward over them. When has it ever happened that a keeper has needed to be subbed twice in a game? Its less than 1 in 1000. On the flip side why take the risk only having 1 attacking player on the bench when you are two injuries away from not having enough on the pitch?
  7. My overall point is that its too inconsistent. He’s not willing to put outfield players he doesnt want on the bench but hes willing to put goalkeepers hes unwilling to keep on the bench and limit his options? Hes known for bringing players through which he is doing but he also has an opportunity to take it a bit further he instead opts for Danny Ward rather than a promising youth prospect? Doesn’t make sense unless he’s trying to make a point.
  8. As much as I didnt rate him Rodgers had the same problem last season too and no doubt he went to Rudkin and Top to say it how it is. Again its just too coincidental that the club for a second successive season are unable to shift on players the manager clearly does not want. So international players such as Castange and Daka are not ready for the Championship so never ever going to play Danny Ward is a better option to have warming a spot on the bench? Nah I don’t buy it.
  9. Its equally as likely as keeping goal keepers involved he has no intention of ever playing especially at the expense of attacking options when they are limited in this squad as it is.
  10. We have a category one academy and also an u21s team. For a manager who is rated highly by every youth player he’s ever worked with its a surprise he’s not currently willing to dip into those pools to fill the bench, especially when he’s using some for the first 11. There are just too many coincidences and inconsistencies for it to be anything other than gamesmanship with want away players and the board. I’m not suggesting he’s unhappy (at the minute) but he’s clearly trying to make a point. My hope is that it doesn’t bite us.
  11. Being able to pass is all well and good but he literally has so many glaring weaknesses for a CB.
  12. When things finally click we will be unstoppable in this league.
  13. He’s going to get a few this season, looks like he has a knack for right place right time.
  14. Nice to be on the opposite end to a shithouse win for once!
  15. Dont worry. As long as we have optimism everything will be fine!
  16. Dont worry we have Ward on the bench as an option…
  17. Unless Maresca explicitly states it then it doesn’t count…
  18. Hopefully this will be the end of him selecting 2 keepers as well.
  19. I agree everythings fine until we lose and then we've lost and the manager hasn't given us the best chance of winning because he wasted a space on the bench with Danny Ward. So if we get any injuries in attack we are relying on Albrighton and Vardy because the manager has used a spot on the bench for Danny Ward when he has another keeper on it. Its fine when we are winning but if we don't win it bites him on the arse. I'd rather he just not put himself in the position. What other plausible reasons are there for naming 2 keepers on the bench 2 games in a row when deliberately leaving out 250 grands per week of talent? The travelling excuse someone came out with was valid until today but not so much anymore.
  20. Still think our starting 11 has the ability to put these to the sword. However i'm worried that if we fall behind Enzo has snookered himself with the bench a bit.
  21. 2 keepers on the bench again today despite making a signing this week. Clear as day what he's doing now.
  22. 2 keepers on the bench again...
  23. With how committed he is to his vision you have to imagine he was promised a fair bit. Especially when he is ostracising 250k per weeks worth of talent in the Championship. He’s right to be pushing but i’m concerned he’s gone too public with it too early.
  24. I’m very optimistic about Maresca but i don’t want to see this relationship cut short because the board haven’t backed him as they said they would. As its the tactics thread my initial point was it was very strange to see two unwanted keepers on the bench as opposed to unwanted attacking players. The manager left us deliberately short tactically and my only conclusion is that he’s sending a message to someone, most likely the board but also the unwanted players. That being said theres only so much these players can do to engineer moves unless our board are willing to be flexible with valuations. Hopefully it was only a one off but if it happens again today i’ll start to be concerned.
  25. Looking forward to this one I think things will start to click a lot more today and we could actually thrash these.
