Jonny Evans comments after the game for Utd are interesting - I wasn't consciously thinking I would sign [after getting the first call]. When you get to a certain age you start to wind down your career. I got the call and didn't have another option, so I just took it and tried to do my best in training and take my chance. Just goes to show how little some of the players from last year really cared when our contract offer 'wasn't another option'.

Always been sceptical of Atlus games but i've recently sunk 80 hours into Persona 5 Royal and my mind is very much changed on them. Very good game.

To be fair he absolutely did not pull up any trees in the last few years at Spurs and there was very little serious interest in top flight teams taking him on. The benefit to us is that he seems to have been able to reinvent himself a little here and so far its working out very well.

Looking much much better after the international break. I think the course of our season is now set.

Unfortunately I think he’s too far gone for people on here to give him credit. Even i’m struggling, he was brought as a Premier League defender so its hard to give him too much credit performing acceptably in the league below. However that being said I hope he keeps it up and contributes towards us getting back to where we should be.

For a system like this to work you need a CB thats quick enough to recover. We’ll look far less vulnerable when teams can’t play it in behind as often.

One thing is for sure i’m glad whoever was pushing for Russell Martin behind the scenes didn’t get their own way. Very very bad Rodgers knock off.

I’m sure he pinged a few in for Genk before he joined us. One of the things everyone was excited about.

Don’t want to speak too early but this could be the result and performance that defines our whole season going forwards.

Huth not being a 10 on both counts is farcial.

Its been nothing but trouble for us. One of the major reasons we've been relegated because its hampered the club financially and for some reason we have a hell of a lot more injuries. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and all that but besides a few nice comments its been nothing but a waste of money for us.

Its very hard to feel sorry for Maguire when his brother was giving it beans when he left us.
