  1. We back to moan in full force. Nah just a bit of a spell, we’ll get through it. The points record is over though.
  2. The only real downside to this style of play is that we tend to overplay.
  3. He soon gets shown up under the slightest bit of pressure. People have been fooled by the fact he gets acres of space each game to spray it about.
  4. Vestergaard really wouldn’t be able to step back up to the Premier League.
  5. Got a feeling this is the game where we make a proper statement. 4-0 win.
  6. I think he’ll be an asset when/if we go up next season.
  7. We’ll no doubt get some CBs of a similar profile that are a bit quicker. Its a shame about Cags because he would have been extremely good in this set up.
  8. Can we please remember that for all the good performances he’s put in this season he was signed as an established Premier League defender for us and put in some truly horrible performances for us at that level. Just because he is playing well against a lesser standard of opposition doesn’t invalidate previous critical opinions. If anything right now he’s doing the absolute bare minimum, just as any player who was signed during our Premier League stint that are playing well at this level.
  9. Its finally good to watch a team that has banished all Rodgersisms. Before the first international break it was still there under the surface but since then we’ve not looked back.
  10. He’s completely knackered he won’t be able to cope in any sort of physical league. He’s definitely looking to flirt with Saudi clubs now.
  11. Yep - time out of the lime light in a lower pressure environment is probably what he needed. Gets to be himself a bit more too.
  12. Will hold my hands up and say I got it wrong with this signing. Ran almost every game this season. I really hope he can take this back into the PL.
  13. Feels like with less pressure from the media merchants that come with PL football it seems he’s enjoying himself again. Dare i say it but lower league football suits him better.
  14. 9/10 so far. You can see everyone pulling in the same direction and it seems like for the first time in years all the players are on the same page. The results have been good and the football is improving week on week. I said it would be make or break after the Hull loss because of the previous mentality and the way he’s picked the squad up has been sensational. Only negative for me was the game playing with 2 keepers on the bench during the transfer window when performances weren’t great and results could have gone either way and he was leaving us short. I do find it very curious that he’s not put 2 keepers on the bench since the window closed.
  15. Really dont want the international break to come. We are on fire at the minute.
  16. Souttar in from the cold is an interesting one. Hope he does well tonight.
  17. Theres no way he’s signing a deal that was worse than the one he’s on. He would have got a half decent signing on fee if he went for free in the summer. No doubt he’s wrangled a deal on previous terms once/if we get promoted. No agent in their right mind would let their client sign on long term for reduced terms at his age.
  18. We had trouble shifting him last time we were in the Prem and we can't just go handing out 4 year deals to our high earners we will want to be shifting in a couple years time. It should have been a 2 year with an option for a 3rd really. Well yes we got relegated when we should have been so very far from it and it was all down to decisions like these where we were over generous with contracts for bit part players. Its like people forget that we are in the Championship due to horrific mismanagement. A few good results against tinpot teams won't change that.
  19. The ones where we can't shift high earning squad players to make improvements.
  20. It really depends on the terms he's signed up too. If he's on anything like he was before then its a bad move because no team fighting for promotion is going to shell out more than 60 bags a week. If he's taken a cut and down to roughly half of that it might be a shrewd move but I don't see it, I imagine when/if we get promoted he will be back on the same terms as before which 2 years down the line will land us with the same problems we had when we went down, unable to shift on high earning squad players. No agent in their right mind would let their client sign a deal for worse terms at Hamzas age so there will be a considerable upside somewhere in his deal.
  21. Dan Wootton finally getting dragged has made this so entertaining. They'll be changing direction as a channel very soon I reckon, too many cranks need clearing and they are taking the opportunity to do so.
  22. If he’s still on 60 bags a week signing him to a four year deal this early in a Championship season is lunacy. Seems our board really haven’t learned much.
  23. Its the fickle nature of football fans. Few good games against dire opposition and he's a world beater again. Granted the circumstances aren't entirely his own fault and he was clearly a victim of Brendan but you're right whenever he did play at Prem or Europa level he was absolutely honking for us. There is no way we should be looking to sign him to a longer term deal.
  24. Despite how well the past few games have gone my concerns from earlier in the season have been realised when he bombed all our full backs out and has left us with very little cover. It will be interesting to see how he adapts now.
  25. No matter how well he does this season there is no way we can sign Vardy back up on his current terms, will need to drop significantly which would also allow us to invest elsewhere. Out of our current permanent players I would also keep Ndidi, Nelson and Marcal.
