I would be extremely happy with RVN. If we wanted another manager similar to Maresca he is probably the next best thing we can get right now.

I genuinely think the reason we didnt appoint Potter in the end is because he wanted an England job clause. From what I remember at the time almost everything was agreed but then they couldnt agree on something.

I think the board saw the Chelsea game as a dead rubber and didnt want the new manager starting with such a game hence why hes been sacked now.

Potter must be making some positive noises for this to happen.
