Having a player sent off does not help. Hope he gets censured by the Club.

Apparently their Lordships Mandelson & Bliar knew about the dodgy 'Horizon' system but both waived it through. As I have said before it is not just Royal Mail/Post Office personnel who should be investigated but politicians as well.

PET HATES FROM COMMENTATORS/PUNDITS

The need to "get a result". You will always get a result, win, draw or lose. -

I always call it a "Desmond" as in Tutu. -
We've only seen the tip of the iceberg yet. The Post Office, Fujitsu, the NFSP and many politicians are simply not fit for purpose.
-
0-2, 'Up the City', Leicester that is.

I understand what you say and I appreciate they are fallible just like the rest of us. Of course there are some like Vennells who give the air of piousness but in reality they are no better than anyone else as she has proved. What is unforgiveable is that someone who has served God as she has done has never had a twinge of conscience until know.
-
Vennells, by saying she will return her CBE, may think that is the end of the matter. Let me tell her this is only the beginning and nowhere near the end of this appalling state of affairs. She still won't accept there were problems with the 'Horizon' computerised system saying it was "robust and fit for purpose". The fact of the matter is; it nor her were fit for purpose!!
-
The Bishop of St Albans states we shouldn't judge the despicable former CEO of the Post Office, Vennells, on the basis of a ITV documentary. He, obviously, has never been a sub-postmaster!! Thank God, no pun intended, for Alan Bates who has fought long and hard and the team who produced the programme for highlighting this the greatest travesty of justice in British history. Who do these "people of the cloth" think they are? They are so out of kilter with what most of the nation thinks.
-
Vennels is just the tip of the iceberg. There are so many others culpable for the part they played in this massive miscarriage of justice. From other Royal Mail/Post Office personnel such as Adam Crozier & Allan Leighton, Fujitsu, the NFSP, and politicians of all colours. None can hold their heads up high as it was known shortly after the 'Horizon' system was introduced back in 1999 there were problems. No, today is a good day and just the start for those affected by this outrageous scandal.
-
This a 'Good News Day' now the despicable Vennels said she will hand back her gong. The fact of the matter is this award should never have been given in the first place. Who the hell recommended her? Now, the authorities ought to go after her to repay the "golden goodbye" she received on leaving the Post Office to the hundreds of innocent sub-postmasters/postmistresses wrongly convicted under her watch.

Lucky, lucky Manure.

FA Cup Fourth Round Draw (Monday 7:50pm)

On to Round 5 -
The 'Gooners' should have been 4-0 up at halftime but if you don't take your chances you'll win nowt.

Millwall have never been right in the head. Unfortunately, they just use football as a vehicle to display their irresponsible, moronic behaviour.
-
Now the Met. Police are to investigate at long last given the number of years this scandal has been going on. However, I'm not holding my breath as it could well end up a "whitewash". The fact is this greatest miscarriage of justice must be kept in the public eye until those responsible have been brought to book and dealt with appropriately.
-
Birmingham far better off without Rooney then.

Ward on the bench. He'll have to go a long way to beat Conrad Logan's record!! -
Have been watching 'Mr Bates vs The Post Office' on ITV. Based on actual lives of sub-postmasters/mistresses it brought to the public's attention the appalling way individuals have been treated by the Post Office who treated 700 as criminals, taking them to court and prosecuting them when they new the 'Horizon' system was flawed. It has been an absolutely staggering miscarriage of justice which is still ongoing. Fortunately, my wife who was a sub-postmistress from 1992-2006 did not get embroiled with this scandal. There but for the grace of God it could have been so different. Innocent people have committed suicide, lost their homes and life savings and been despised by their local communities whereas senior Post Office personnel have walked away with golden goodbyes, lucrative pensions, gongs and without a care in the world. It is been a bloody disgrace.

At the start of a new season, particularly if you have been promoted, it is often the way you start off with those players who helped gain promotion (it's a great pity it doesn't happen in reverse). Obviously, that does not mean all those players are good enough for the step up. The manager will, hopefully, have some idea who will make the grade after all that is part of his job. Without doubt we will need to strength as well can all see the gulf between the Championship and Premier leagues.
-
I'm afraid we're paying for all those uninsured bastards who are driving around without a care in the world.

No surprise in this news. What a waste of an appointment. Rooney's managerial record is abysmal, a bit like how Birmingham City has been run over the last couple of decades. Watch out Dyche as Rooney will probably be slotted in to get the 'toffees' relegated!!
