Signed by Sven for us too in the Championship of course, who also passed this week of course. Sad times.

Not sure what our points deduction will be come the time but regardless of that then I have a nagging feeling that we could be this Prem season's Luton from last season. Hopefully there are three worse teams than us this season who keep us afloat still though, given the way we've battled so far - and if so then we can begin to establish ourselves at this level again like we did a decade ago!
-
The best part of it was we really were the champions, not some team moneybags team finishing 2nd to 5th that season!!
-
Worst season in the clubs history incoming.

It was always going to be a tough ask but nobody really knows how this season is going to pan out despite the signs all pointing towards it being disastrous. Last time we were relegation faves we won the Prem., lol! I'm not suggesting anything of the sort will happen this season of course but 17th would be great! -
I know he didn't, I just said he got the winner!
-
3-2 to us after being 0-2 down, January 2006 - the month Levein was sacked at the end of too!! M.De Vries late winner, one of only a few decent games he had for us in the Levein era!

Lovely bloke, RIP Craig and thanks for everything.

At least the strange twist of fate with "calamity Kalac" at Wembley lead to the '96 play off final's Claridge last minute wonder moment/goal!
-
He's another Conrad Logan, Eldin Jakupovic and Alex Smithies in short - easy money just sitting in the reserves! Also in Ward's case having enough goalkeeping practise here to still play for Wales!
-
Would be funny if he "came good" like Vestergaard did last season but I can't see it - nor him being played at all over Hermansen and Stolarczyk , not even in cup games...unless both get crocked!.

Are you happy with Steve Cooper being appointed (as looks likely)?

Let's hope he can emulate others of an ex Florist standing in LCFC land ; most obviously M.O'Neill and Big Wes! -

A shame there isn't a "meh" option in between the yes or no too! I guess that would equate to no though! -
Bertrand has got to be up there with the Peter Taylor era re your Junior Lewis, Lee Marshalls and Ade Akinbiyi's in terms of worst signing ever status! - but at least the latter two actually played reasonably regularly!
-
Yes, it did the likes of Sheffield United no favours at all the FFP compliance, re selling their best players after promotion before a ball was even kicked! Some of the teams 'punching' in the past two seasons - your Brentfords, Brightons, Wolves and so on could nose dive a bit next season and be in trouble and/or stagnate and then go downhill as the season progresses. Next season might not be as bad as most seem to be fearing on here and I can't see Southampton or Ipswich bettering us next season at this stage, even if we do start with a -4 points deduction or whatever like Forest had = one win and a draw! Some of it obviously hinges on whomever we bring in to replace Enzo too, if not all. I think the new safety/survival target will stay at just above the 30 mark now, whreas in days gone by it was generally late 30s of course since the three points for a win was introduced in 1981-82 season.

Indeed, us appointing Ranieri was met with some disdain at the time I seem to recall and look how that turned out!
-
Too right, a lot of why pitch invasions seem to be frowned upon now by presumably the younger, social media driven generation or adults who were 'born middle aged' are for the reasons of sterility you mention, not to mention the modern day disconnect between the multi millionaire players and the fans....perhaps with one or two exceptions like Vardy!
-
I dunno so much, I was 45 at the time and definitely wasn't "born middle aged" - like some saddos on this thread!!
-
Me and a few thousand other dicks on the day then....
-
Well I went onto the pitch after the Doncaster game and got no animosity, nor caused any!
-
Just mentioned it above re 2014's pitch invasion, then saw your post! I don't recall any players back then grumbling about it but I obviously didn't see Schmeichel at the time where I was on the pitch!
-
Not read to see if this has already been mentioned before but I vividly remember ten years ago we were allowed on the pitch to celebnrate promotion/winning the Championship after the Doncaster game in 2014, unlike the Premier League win milestone occasion two years later or indeed the latest Championship triumph!
-
Yes, definitrly another Kramaric, just that he scored more crucial goals and was here for a lot longer to all intents and purposes!
-
Yet another 'get out of jail' card handed to .... us! Over to the Tractor Boys now v Boro!

Hindsight is a wonderful thing and we were probably singing off a different song sheet in the autumn time to what we are now after two damaging away defeats to lowly opposition but I seriously can't believe it has come to this again - a year and a bit on since the exact same debate over Rodgers, this time in the league below though to further exacerbate the negativity. Oh dear! Definitely Groundhog Day and the only honourable thing for Enzo to do is either leave right now and give whoever comes in, in the short term like a Steve Cooper or an experienced head in these situations like Pearson or Warnock a slight chance of grabbing automatic or for Enzo to change tack just see the job through and get us up then see what's what over the summer! It can still go either way and we have got to the stage now where we're more relying on Leeds and Ipswich to choke too, rather than concentrating on the task in hand for ourselves of simply getting over the line to avoid the play offs!
