Built up debt based on future earnings and player trading income. Squad thats more of a liability than an asset (wage cost exceeding trade value, little young up and coming players in first team squad). Stripped down scouting and sports science. An owner who cant communicate, low effort CEO recruited, reliance on a obsolete sporting director.

Thats what I thought, but I wanted to see if I was wrong, as my question was about financial mismanagement, I remember them from that side of things being ran very well.
-
What issues were there?
-
Wasnt his clubs always ran sensibly at a financial level?
-
I reckon we will only sign one striker, not learning we need competition for places, and the option of playing 4-2-2.
-
One thing I never understand with penalty takers, why they go low 90% of the time. Our one goal was in the roof of the net.

I seen posts on the womens thread people think we got a good squad, its a terrible squad. It only had half an effort put into it under one manager. The rest had no backing.
-
Just a twitter account fishing.
-
Example of the stuck between two minds problem we had with the club leadership, if they wanted to back the manager, then mid season they needed to plug the identified weaknesses in the squad, add some freshness.
-
From a selfish career point of view he did the right thing leaving us, it was crap from a loyalty perspective, but he would have either been fired part way through EPL season or relegated us. He then wouldnt be on the cusp of being manager of Man City.

Just remembered this is the KP out thread, so I understand the nature of the post I replied to.
-
Not defending KP, post disaster, we have been an absolute shambles.

Why is 2021 the starting point, so many on here seem to not respect our Claudio era. They think the Rodgers era was somehow better, those players were better etc. CL qualification isnt an achievement either. Since EPL introduction. We are the 5th most successful club in the country, remember league cup wins also, and only one of two unfashionable clubs to win the EPL. Palace have done well and may well be the 7th or 8th most successful club now since EPL inception if they win europa conferance. Our achievements are EPL win, FA cup, 2x League cup, community shield. We also have been in the CL (pot 1 to boot) for those who think that counts as an achivement.

The best game I ever watched under Enzo he disowned the game. His merits are he got players to be more professional, especially Winks who has proven to be a problem player, recognised Ricardo is more suited in a different position, and grinded out results despite not playing well. His football was a snooze fest though. A lesson of passing for the sake of it.

If we want to do whats right for the club, we shouldnt be looking for loanees from EPL clubs in league one. We need to look the other way and recruit league one/two players, also lique two and second tier in Italy, Germany.

I voted no for a few reasons. 1 - If it doesnt go well., it will be seen as shouldnt have happened and rightly so. 2 - In the netflix documentary it was revealed he was more than a good striker, he drove the entire team on with his positive attitude, whilst any manager would want such a player, it also leads to a problem when that player leaves the squad, him coming back for the season would be like a shot of adrenaline, and then a massive hangover afterwards. 3 - We need a new start, a new era, and this includes a new wage structure, Vardy isnt coming back for a wage of 5k a week, and paying him something worthy of his name would then mean we havent done a new start. Its my view restructuring the club, sorting it all out is more important than football results next season.

It was the style of play, at the start tops son was allowed to make decisions, and Sousa had us playing tippy tappy which failed miserably.
-
I think they might not go above 100-1, they tight these days.
-
Curious of our relegation odds for next season.
-
He would have got it for virtue that Arsenal are a bigger club than Spurs.
-
Its big club syndrome, if Vardy moved to Arsenal he would have got way more recognition, and probably would also have replaced Kane as England #1.
-
Its harder for players when they not in a team of equally talented players, the fact Mahrez was so good whilst playing for us, absolutely world class. We wont have a better player in my lifetime. Once in a generation player. You might have big club syndrome.
-
Mahrez was comfortably world class. Vardy as well in my opinion.
-
Remember as well how people claim the Rodgers team was superior to Claudio's yet, Claudio/Shakespeare lost Kante and still made the quarters of the CL. But yeah I agree our Europe campaigns in the Rodgers era are looking pretty bad, but Celtic fans always said he was bad in Europe with them as well.

Could we go into Administration next season?
Chrysalis replied to Lineker's Left Foot's topic in Leicester City Forum
I dont think significant money is coming into the club from the owners. More likely a loan is secured against Seagrave or the stadium.
