LCFC 2-0 Bristol City, post-match thread
Chrysalis replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
Great result, wasnt expecting it and happy to be surprised. -
Rules are all over the place, but yeah it does seem they adding a bit of leeway, however reading into it, I think we still would have been in trouble. The extra 30% from what I understand is not sustained season after season.
-
Very likely dealing with itnerference from above as well. Those expecting a new manager to fix all the problems at the club arent being realistic, it remains, Top and Rudkin out, until then everything will be a mess.

Underperformer of the Season – the nominees
Chrysalis replied to MC Prussian's topic in Leicester City Forum
You forgot Top and Rudkin. -
Cant help but feel the same, we dont know how to play at home, which would be pressing, getting forward with urgency and pace, and putting the fear in to the other team. Slow laboured passing between defenders and keeper instead.
-
Crappy tactics? Its not the job of a player to decide what is good or bad tactics, you put in a shift no matter what. Also same if you like the manager or not. Its ok to be annoyed, if you keep that outside of the work place.

Miracle achieved, Daka scored. Thought we won after seeing a reddit 0-1 post, but then noticed it was just a goal thread.
-
Didnt Sousa have close to a 0% win rate? Sacked after 10 or so games.
-
Its an interesting graph curious also of the timeline for use of securing future monies, salary to revenue etc.
-
He seems to go completely missing when we dont have the ball.
-
From my observation of first half it was still too slow over technical laboured passing, not direct enough, no dribbling forward. Didnt watch second half as we were so bad in the first. Norwich managing simple passes, us failing at it. Norwich pressing us in our own 3rd, whilst we didnt press them enough. Gary needs to go more radical, and if needs be tell Top it is what it is, the football he wants cant be played.
-
Seems same old to me. Trying to over pass it, no urgency, players not enough quality to pass so pass it to other team. Defenders trying to pass to each other, then Norwich poach off. Stop this goddamn tippy tappy nonsense please. We just cant do it, the players are not good enough.

Striker is such an important position as well, a really prolific one can end up masking all sorts of issues in a team. FT score - 2-3 Team A with crap striker. 79% possession 29 shots off target, 6 on target, 2 goals. (both own goals from Team B's shambolic defense) Team B 21 % possession. 0 shots off target, 3 on target, 3 goals.

Drop Daka and just allow JJ to run in to that space if needed.

I think these are two different things. It is possible to recognise PSR is poor regulation whilst at the same time recognising our problems are of our own doing, the two things dont go hand in hand. There is no evidence we wouldnt be going down the same road if there wasnt spending regulations, as its still the case KP have ran out of money, still the case Top is an idiot, still the case Rudkin is running football operations.

This shows how badly we under performed on commercial income.

He needs to go in the summer, but if the manager has him ready to play well, and as long as he does play well, then fair enough play him, but the moment his head drops again, he needs to be replaced.

Really loved that season, our counters were brilliant.

Cloudfox reply (since claridge posted), Its similar to comments I have made as well, I have noticed when we have upper hand in games and are actually trying to score, we dont usually concede, the problems come when we sit back.

They already have stopped for us, they going to a bank we took a pay day loan from, We wont see another penny.

Probably yes. I think Seagrave would be audited, and a decision made on to keep as is, shrink it to a more suitable size, or sell the lot. Some fans are clearly going to take this hard, but any sane business person would do this. New salary regime with far less generous contracts, potentially existing players forced out the door aggressively. Potential downgrade of youth program to lower tier. More likely I think if Seagrave sold. Reduced losses accepted on womens team, although I think current owners have already chosen this route given the low quality of the squad and lack of desire for it.

History has shown us again and again possession doesnt win you games, its interesting that even a manager such as Gary has decided to focus on that and bring Winks back in. Its brave, but lets hope it works out.
